Top 20 overall, nothing changes, but Frag could make some moves next season... Frag breaks his duck, but still no win for myself, Earl P or Smokeyb. Sam also gets his best position, if only he could complete a season, he might do even better Best Positions 2005-2019 (The main players)Andy 2nd in 2011/12 Earl Purple 2nd in 2008 Frag 1st in 2019 (2nd in 2006) Mad Murray 10th in 2009/10 Misterhamster 1st in 2005 Paddy 8th in 2009/10 Raliverpool 1st in 2010/11 Razzle Dazzle 1st in 2012/13 Robin 1st in 2006 Sam 11th in 2019 (12th in 2016/17) Shireblogger 1st in 2016/17 Smokeyb 4th in 2011/12 Suedehead 1st in 2015/16 Tom 5th in 2010/11 Wonderwall 1st in 2014/15

I missed a week but would not have won the season even with it.
Frag has played almost every season so well done for finally winning one.
Maybe next season Charlton will be in the championship again and that will hopefully help me know the division better and thus predict better most weeks. But I doubt it.

Thank you very much to wonderwall and o, for running this week after week. I'm extremely grateful, even though one of you might have missed 22 points off my score earlier in the season. And congratulations to frag. A finish worthy of the Champions League.

Oh dear, my tactic of going for some high-risk predictions didn’t work out.

Well done to Frag for winning and to Shireblogger for being a worthy runner up. It was my best season for a while, staying in contention in the league and winning the FA Cup, so i'm quite happy.
Also a big thank you to wonderwall and Andy for running the competition between them and keeping on top of all the stats.

Did you win the weeks when the majority of the games were in League One ? Not sure if I actually won them but may have been a bit higher up the table on average. Form seemed to play an enormous part in that table, so those on a good run were likely to continue it, but of course you didn't know when a run would start or end. Putting a D next to Sunderland's fixture was often a good bet, especially if they were playing a top half team, but unfortunately I always give my lowest confidence scores to draws. There was one week I got 5 or possibly even 6 right but 3 of them were draws and I'd given them 1, 2 and 3 and got a poor score. I hate predicting my own team. I don't know about anyone else. I think we were on the list at home against Luton who were on a great run of form and hadn't lost for ages, but we ended that run. They still won the division but we were also on a good run of home form and so perhaps a draw was quite a likely result. (But it wasn't draw, we won). Some were predicting A6 or A7 on it. If you're totally stuck on a fixtures you can look at the betting on it. Do the bookmakers think it's a home-banker or away-banker? Not that they're always right, and it's often correct to overrule them but it's worth a look.

Not that they're always right, and it's often correct to overrule them but it's worth a look. I hope nobody (except you) does that. This is a simple, quick and fun game for about 10 people on an internet forum. If you're so dedicated to winning things, you resort to that type of activity, then I'm even more thrilled that I came second.

I'm sure lots of people look at the league table of the division and the form table, as well as the specific home and away records of the teams.
I guess we decide whatever way we choose to predict the result. There are no guarantees either way.

I have found out the more scientific I am the worse score I get, so I usually just make it up in a few minutes, mind you that doesn't seem to help either, Guess I'm just rubbish at this.

I look at the league table, but you wouldn't know it as I haven't ever won this and got my first monthly win in FIVE years, there is an element of luck, because of the 1-10 rankings, but consistency is key I guess?

Well done Frag
I have to say when it comes to lower league fixtures I skim the league table and form guide but usually I just accidently miss the week which isn't a great tactic ha

Thanks, everyone! Nice to finally win this, where's my virtual crisp? As for my predictions, like a few others on here, I look at league table (the home/away view) and form. I also tend to put draws as my lowest scores - which makes sense as one goal either way can ruin your prediction, whereas sometimes you might think a team will thrash their opponent but then still get the points for a 1-0 win. wonderwall and o, thanks for running this! I can continue pitching in with the results every so often next season.
