Hunters (Amazon Prime; only one season but the second is the works apparently).
I really don't know what to make of this. It had moments of brilliance and managed to be quite funny in a schlocky, Tarantino-esque way while staying (at least, I thought) fairly respectful. But then some of the plot details were truly bizarre and - without wanting to spoil anything - if you try and work out the timeline it doesn't make sense at all without allowing for some pretty horrifying implications.

It starts out earnest, with some questionable language, then turns full on Tarantino for episode 2, then balances a fine line between being respectful and being horrific. I enjoyed the mess of it all, but once I knew where that last episode was going, I simply couldn't believe it would go there. And yet it did!

I actually had the thought an episode or two before the end - 'what if X?' - but dismissed it as too crazy. Not for this show it wasn't

Code Black (3 seasons, Amazon Prime)
A medical drama that wanted to be Grey's Anatomy so very, very much. It had its moments, but most of the characters needed better development, and the writing felt very sparse - too much going on without enough time given to the different storylines. Some very enjoyable acting though especially from the series regulars.

Deutschland 89 (I didn't have the patience to wait for each episode to be broadcast so watched one episode a night on All4 until I'd finished).

The Hour (originally on BBC 10 years ago, watched on Prime)
50s TV newsroom drama. For the most part, this was really good, but the ending was such a downer - a victim of a premature cancellation - that it just left me a bit depressed. Brilliant acting though, not that you'd expect anything else from that cast.
