"Americana" is the fifth studio album by the American punk rock band the Offspring, released on November 17, 1998. Following a worldwide tour in support of its previous album, Ixnay on the Hombre (1997), the Offspring commenced work on a new album.
The album contains the hit singles "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)", "Why Don't You Get a Job?" and "The Kids Aren't Alright". Crossing over from mainstream rock and alternative rock radio to Top 40 pop radio stations, the tracks enjoyed similar success to the singles from Smash. "She's Got Issues", the final single of the album, was moderately well-received, though not as successful as the 3 preceding hits.

Wasn't a big fan of their new more commercial sound. 'Smash' was a brilliant album and yeh ' Pretty Fly' is fun but all credibility has gone. This is my favourite Offspring song

Good album and nice to see them break into the mainstream but like Thorney I prefer Smash, "Gotta Get Away", "Self Esteem" and "Come Out and Play" were excellent, the album the put out before Americana was good too, the singles from Ixnay on the Hombre were excellent especially "Gone Away" and "All I Want", nice to see them get a mention
