I’ve been a fan of Swim Deep since I saw them supporting Two Door Cinema Club years ago. The other support band that night were Bastille, just before they released Pompeii. Even at that time Swim Deep were quite hard to define with a lot of different influences evident.

Ahh its too good to leave in one forum, Its the return of MUNA
This maybe applies to me as I have been looking forward to this all week. First single taken from their 2nd album 'Saves The World'
Not sure about the vocoder, I like the fact her voice is a bit different anyway but this is a total tune. Top 5 placing on New Music Friday so lets hope top 100 beckons.

I'm digging the vocals actually; to be honest Katie's voice was probably the main reason I didn't like the first album as much as I expected. Loved all the singles but a whole album of her voice was a bit much. This is so great! It sounds like actual growth from their first album rather than just more of the same. And parts of it remind me of M83 and The 1975 which is pretty much instant win for getting me to like something

The Electro indie pop continues with a song that actually reminds me of Roxette but with even more 80s shimmer. You would never believe they are from Bath.
The have two songs out right now but this one is the best!

Enough of that let's have the return of a band who split 20 years ago. This is much better than I expected, they were always more interesting than many other bands around at the time. Not sure about the chorus its no 'Drink The Elixir' but otherwise this is damn good.
Salad - Under The Wrapping Paper

I saw Salad live several times back in the 1990s. They were indeed a lot more interesting than many of their contemporaries. It's a pity they never really made it. It's good to hear something new from them!

Easy track of the day, its the first single from the frontman of The Wombats, Murph's, new project Love Fame Tragedy. He will be working with members of Alt-J, The Pixies, Bastille, Killers and many more on a single every month. This single features Maddi Waterhouse. This is really quite brilliant, its so 80s.

Track of the day which I could a featured earlier are a pop punk band called Dune Rats, they are from Australia and their last album topped the charts over there. This is the firt single of an unannounced third album. Even the video is like something from 20 year ago on MTV2

Track of the day well the video is just out and I must admit this is my favourite solo single yet, probably as it sounds like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Spread Your Love. First single from the 2nd solo album from Liam Gallagher called 'Why Me? Why Not'
