The Premier League season is set to restart on 17 June with Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal, the BBC has learned.
The matches are the two games in hand.
A full fixture list would then be played on the weekend of 19-21 June.
Clubs are still discussing the idea at a meeting on Thursday, but it is understood all have agreed in principle at this stage.

It's been confirmed. The first live top flight games on the BBC since 1987/88.
All 92 remaining games will be shown live between Sky, BT, BBC and Amazon. Sky is to make 25 of its 64 games available free-to-air, including the Merseyside derby.

It was kind of expected that the BBC would be getting the bottom of the barrel in terms of the live games it would show and the announcement of the first two seems to confirm that:
Bournemouth v Crystal Palace Norwich v Everton

Potentially decent, the empty stadium does seem to affect the games, there's been a few good Bundesliga games, but a lot have been terrible, and maybe they would have been terrible in front of a crowd as well, but it does feel like a training game sometimes.

I tried to watch the German league years ago when they were on sky but they were terrible then too even in front of a crowd

You must have got unlucky with the games then, as I really enjoy watching them normally, and very good value to get in and watch a game as well, not like the rip off premier league

I enjoyed some of the big games, I just couldn't get excited watching St Pauli v Hoffenheim, think they tried to show too many bang average fixtures

Many Premier League and Championship teams have been staging full, inter-squad 90-minute games at their home grounds ahead of the resumption of the season. However, a few teams have played behind-closed-doors friendlies against other clubs:
Arsenal 6-0 Charlton Aston Villa 2-2 West Brom
Also, the first round of Championship fixtures has been announced, to take place on Saturday 20th June:
Blackburn v Bristol City Cardiff v Leeds (Sun 21st, 12:00) Fulham v Brentford (12:30) Huddersfield v Wigan Hull v Charlton Luton v Preston Middlesbrough v Swansea Millwall v Derby QPR v Barnsley Reading v Stoke Sheff Wed v Forest West Brom v Birmingham

League Two clubs have voted to end the season. Swindon are promoted to League One as champions, along with Crewe and Plymouth. Colchester, Exeter, Northampton and Cheltenham will contest the playoffs. Either Stevenage or Macclesfield will be relegated to the National League subject to the latest disciplinary proceedings against the latter, which could bring a further points deduction.

The same now confirmed for League One. Coventry are champions, Rotherham also up. Wycombe, Fleetwood, Portsmouth and Oxford are in the playoffs. Tranmere, Southend and Bolton are relegated.

But what about that 2nd promotion from the Conference, 2nd placed team, or playoffs? Surely they cant afford to test their players and staff at that level?

It's the first time Coventry have finished higher than 6th in any division since 1966/67.

I’m still hoping for National League play offs. It still seems like a realistic option. Barrow deserve their promotion, but beneath that no team is in an official automatic promotion place so play offs is the only fair solution.

It's difficult though, not just financially, because what club wants to pay 140k to not be promoted and recoup that money, but also the two teams below you have a game in hand and could theoretically catch you, plus the play off spot which Stockport have, Solihull Moors and Woking have a game in hand to overtake them? Which is why I think they may just promote Harrogate, which is funny as I remember watching them when they only got 3-400 for most games!

My issue with potentially giving Harrogate promotion is that they aren't in an automatic promotion place. All clubs that have been promoted or relegated so far have been in automatic places so you could argue that it has been deserved, though I can totally understand Tranmere's grievance about changing the rules. This is a little more complicated in my opinion.
