Last weekend me and Hupin went to a Britpop day in Manchester at the O2 Ritz which was great, the first act on was Chris Helme sat 2.15pm, the former frontman of The Seahorses was doing an acoustic set of covers, Seahorses songs and one of his solo songs, we caught him then decided to give Salad and Geneva a miss because the whole thing was on until after midnight so we went for a lie down and came back at 6pm to watch Space, they were amazing, full of energy playing all of their hits, I counted between all 7 acts they had 49 top 40 singles between them!
Next up was Dodgy playing their 1994 album Homecoming in its entirety with Good Enough and In a Room as an encore, they were great too even though I was only familiar with 3 or 4 of their songs, Cast were the headliners with 7 top ten singles! and 3 more that reached to top twenty, they played hit after hit, I have attached their setlists below from what I remember, and finally Mark Morriss played an intimate acoustic set in the basement around midnight to a few hundred people, he went through a fair few Blutones classics, it was a great gig for around £30, I could certainly be tempted to do it again next year depending on who they get to play

I really like the idea of Starshaped. Every year they have a good lineup and there is a market for a 90s Britpop gig night.
We saw Dodgy’s Homecoming tour earlier this year, supported by Tony from Terrorvision and Babybird. It was brilliant

Yeah I enjoyed it, it was a great day and night, the Dodgy, Babybird and Terrorvision show sounds spot on too, I was looking at Cool Britania that was on a few weeks ago, it was a bit pricey but I like the direction they are going in
