The only way to stop the Supremes winning is to put them up against each other, oh I see you already tried that, only surprise was that wasn't a tie.

I wonder if the sole remaining Beatles track is going to keep getting the softest draw, while the really strong soul & Motown tracks will keep having face-offs. Four Tops vs Aretha should have been the final.

I've done the same as I've always done for these contests used Random.org; and from 3rd round onwards if the same act is drawn against each other then I don't split them like I've do in Round 1 & Round 2 (top half draw move a track up; bottom half draw move a track down a match (unless the same act is drawn in the first or last match up)).

Four Tops vs Aretha should have been the final. It is a Random.org draw that I use, which just so happens to have resulted in my two favourite tracks left in the final 16 drawn against each other.
I really don't like your cynicism and if you seriously think that, then I'm quite happy to abandon this contest (unlike our top four football leagues) with immediate effect and render this contest null & void; and not bother the following three years with a 1970s; 2000s; then 2010s contest from January each year!

Maybe you should have seeded the top 128 songs!

It would have been better for them if they had been drawn against each other since none of the Supremes' tracks are likely to reach the quarter-final.

I wouldn't underestimate 'Johnny Remember Me' to be honest. It's a really brilliant song, and quite popular on here.
