She's back with the lead single from LG6.

It’s a bit all over the place - I don’t love or hate it, just feels a step backwards again.

I've listened to it three times now and I still can't remember much about it. It might be a grower of course, but at the moment I'm feeling very disappointed by it.

Very generic. Very disappointing.

I really don't get the dislike for this track on Haven; especially considering how her Joanne & A Star Is Born eras were relatively paid dust here.
As for describing it as generic .... now that is the one descriptive word that surely cannot be applied to this incredibly catchy three minute ABCABCDC EDM track with separated-out mouth sounds for a chorus is far from standard 2020 Radio 1/Spotify Top 50 UK playlist fodder.
Neither does this as a lead track of a Gaga album sound like any of her previous lead singles; nor does it sound like any of co-writer Max Martin 22 USA #1 hit singles.
Sure it sounds like Gaga but only in the way that The Beatles sounded like The Beatles; Bowie sounded like Bowie; Prince sounded like Prince; etc when they changed up (or down) their new output depending on your view in comparing with their previous work.
It is still too early to tell whether I like it or love it (at the moment it is certainly not the best new track I've heard this week (that's belongs to SZA & Justin Timberlake). All I can say is I heard it for the first time driving to work at 07:40 yesterday; and in the afternoon I could still recall the "All I ever wanted was Lauv... (yeah-yeah...) hook into the the I want your Stupid Love, Love Love yeah" chorus in my head from that first play; whilst in the meantime I've heard the UK's ESC entry about half a dozen times and I can't remember any of it even if you put a gun to my head.
But two analogies I've seen in reviews describing this track nail it:
"An imagining of a Donna Summer & Giorgio Moroder collaboration commissioned for Buck Rogers in the 25th Century". (USA Sci-Fi TV series which ran from 1979-81)
"It sounds like her coming back to reclaim her throne with a well produced, concise poptimistic tune after years of experimenting away from the sound that made her famous. If you like, her equivalent to the Nile Rodgers produced Let's Dance for David Bowie, which was at the time (& remains) an underwhelming track for his fan base; despite (or maybe because of) its mass popularity outside of that bubble".

I haven't written it off, I just cannot put my finger on what it is about this song that it is not sticking with me.
Joanne was horrendous (sorry) - A Star Is Born was a step back in the right direction, I was just not expecting a lead single that sounds like an amalgamation of everything from all the previous albums all at once in a three minute song.

Reminds me of a poor version of Bad Romance without the stuttering

sounds like an amalgamation of everything from all the previous albums all at once in a three minute song. I think that's why I like it so much!

I think it's a brilliant track, makes me interested to hear what she's done with the forthcoming album.

It's starting to grow on me now. There's a bit of a 90s vibe going on in places.

I really like it but then I haven't really liked anything from her since her first two albums.

Released a little too late for the remix round of Dance Idol, but still worth a listen!

Are these 80s remixes a new thing? I've seen them come up like mushrooms on YouTube lately! (also I realise I could not possibly have sounded more ancient in that sentence )

It took a few listens but I really love this now. I was also listening to the Joanne album the other day and there are some great songs on there too, esoecially the title track.
