19 (-12) Saturdays :: 167 pts -- 7 listsA big fall for the Saturdays. 7th with the general public, and only 19th with Haven. But I had expected worse. Five people placed the Saturdays in their Top 7, including Roo. who put them 2nd. 18 (+8) Ronettes :: 171 pts -- 8 listsIf you’re counting, you will realise that the Ronettes have finished 3rd amongst the 60s girl groups. But where will the other two end up ? They are Earl Purple’s favourite all-female group, and came 5th with o. 17 (-8) Pussycat Dolls :: 177 pts -- 8 listsI was a late convert to the Pussycat Dolls, only listening to their albums for the first time when Nicole Scherzinger started racking up solo hits. Others were clearly more tuned in. 3rd for Jordan and jra1989. 16 (-15) Little Mix :: 182 pts -- 8 listsA slump from top with the public to 16th with Haven. Or, perhaps I should say, top with the OCC and their conversion factors. Anyway, let’s not start yet another one of those tedious “streaming is rubbish” discussions. Little Mix do have fans at Haven – 3rd place with Roo., 4th with Smurfie and 5th with masenz.

PCD probably wouldn't have scored so high with me if it weren't for the release of React earlier in the year

Surprised at Little Mix. Again though, I don’t think many of us are in their target age range so it’s hard to get excited about them compared to what I may have done had they been in the 90s.

The Ronettes were my #10, but 'Be my baby' is probably my favourite girl-group song ever.

Great job Shireblogger, I’ve got to go FaceTime family but I’ll be back later to comment.

All of the Haven Top 15 appeared on at least half of the personal Top 20s, so I am confident we have a majority consensus. Where will your favourites end up ? And, given the shape of the scores so far, does anybody want to guess the Top 3, in order ?

I did include Wilson Phillips on my original list but dropped them at the last minute.

I’d assume Sugababes and Girls Aloud but that’s from a very poptastic perspective!

Bananarama to win, with Girls Aloud and Sugababes up there as well? And maybe the Supremes?

15 (+32) Fuzzbox :: 186 pts -- 10 listsA climb of 32 places for We’ve Got A Fuzzbox And We Certainly Know How To Use It. Its not just me that likes a bit of throwaway fun with guitars. 3rd place with smokeyb. 14 (+9) En Vogue :: 187 pts -- 10 listsI wouldn’t have put money on this r’n’b group jumping into the Haven Top 20. 8 people placed them between 11th and 17th, but a 2nd from ManicKangaroo and a 5th from Robbie was sufficient to give them one point more than Fuzzbox.

The Supremes, Bananarama, The Spice Girls
But I think the Bangles could be high too.

En Vogue are amazing vocalists and I liked some of their singles, but just not too many of them, unfortunately.

Would never have predicted En Vogue placing higher than Little Mix, the Saturdays and PCD

The Saturdays first two albums were great, even if they did try to pretend Wordshaker never happened (it wasn't on Spotify for a long time, but it's there now) - I kinda lost them past Headlines, but the singles were still good.
I'd guess Bananarama, Sugababes and Supremes as the top 3.

Well the great thing about this thread is, it send me down a girl fronted alt rock rabbit hole on YouTube and I discovered a band I have heard of but never really listened to. Anyone know Still Corners wow they are like Lana Del Rey meets dream pop?

And that 5th from Robbie means that Razzle Dazzle and Whitneyfan are the only people left who haven’t yet seen any of their Top 5 appear. 13 (+4) Sister Sledge :: 209 pts -- 10 listsThe same number of people selected Sister Sledge as did En Vogue, but the points gap is a big one. That’s because seven Havenites placed the band in their Top 10, including TheThorne 4th and smokeyb 5th.

I had Sister Sledge ninth. If I was doing a chart of girl group songs though, Thinking Of You would be a lot higher.
