I will redo the start of 1960 but you may wish to start where I did, end of 1955. I know you'll want to go back and do it later.

Not a huge fan of the 50s, my interest starts with the Beatles really, so 1962 but I will start with the 1960
I have much more interest in the 70s and 80s and hope to maybe reach the 70s in 3 or so years time

My second favourite decade after the 80s.
Although I was only born in that decade I found I knew most of the 60s tracks which appeared in Raliverpools's poll from Golden Oldies countdowns mostly Alan Freeman's Pick Of The Pops.

I would probably say my favourite for chart music would be something like this
1980s 1990s 2000s 1960s 1970s 2010s 1950s 2020s
My parents vinyl collection starts at 1962 and ends at 1969, which I guess made them 14-21 at the time so I have a lot of 60s music in my collection, in fact my current #1 is one of my dads favourite artists

Not sure where you are sourcing your list, and what you do about US-only hits, and songs that were hits in the USA first.
The original "Tequila" by the Champs is in my most recent 1958 chart.
In any case your first two #1s so far were my 1st and 3rd #1 when I started doing the 1960s.

I'm sourcing the songs mostly from the USA billboard top 100 and UK top 40 and anything that missed the chart I use Rateyourmusic.com/Wikipedia and Discogs to find a release date/month so I am charting everything I find that I like and making a notepad of songs as I go that didn't chart which is ongoing, so far I have

"Too Much Tequila" was a #49 hit in the UK but I think the official chart was only a top 30 back then which is a joke and one of the main reasons I'm charting a few songs that didn't "chart"

Joan Regan "Happy Anniversary" is my favourite song from 1960. Nice, it is a lovely song, quite obscure though, only charted at #29 in the UK charts then vanished the week after but then they only have the top 30 on the official chart website, nice to see you back too

Happy Anniversary raeched #17 in my chart. The Slim Whitman song of the same title is a different song, and that failed to reach my chart in 1974. Would probably have charted in the 50s or 1960. Psrtly the standard required to chart in the earlier years is much lower, and songs that sound "dated" in 1974 can fit in well in the 50s.
I have loads of Chuck Berry in my 50s charts, are you sure you don't like that decade? His music would reach my chart in any decade.

I like a few songs from the 50's but not enough to do a full chart, "Johnny B. Goode" would be a clear #1 but it took me 2 year to do 1990-1995 and I just don't have the time or desire to go back that far, I know I would get bored halfway

A Voice In The Wilderness is one of my top 5 Cliff records.
In those days there was a programme called Saturday Club broadcast on a Saturday morning on the Light Programme and later Radio 1.
At that stage millions listened to the Radio and appearing on Saturday Club was the then equivalent of being on TOTP.
Cliff and The Shadows appeared when Voice had hit #2 but in defiance of their management elected to sing the B-side of the record.
Daggers were out at Columbia for they reckoned had they performed VITW it would have gone to #1.
