You charted "Summer Set" by Monty Kelly (who is he?) rather than Acker Bilk who co-wrote the tune.

I didn't go down as far as #82 in the US chart and in the 1970s only use the top 40, but Mr Acker Bilk reached #5 with Summer Set and entered at the end of January so that version would have come first.

Yeah I heard it when I went through all the new entries in January but that version didn't make my top 40. It was a bit too raw and bluesy for my taste

3 of your top 4 were covered in the 1970s making top 5 hits. Donny Osmond destroyed puppy love, Showaddywaddy revived You got what it takes in a decent manner but cover of the decade was possibly the Flying Lizards interpretation of Money
Berry Gordy Jnr wrote Money and co wrote You Got What It Takes. Later Barrett Strong would form a songwriting partnership with Norman Whitfield to write Motown classics like I Heard It Through The Grapevine

Out of the three cover versions, the Flying Lizards are by far the best, such a creative and inventive interpretation of the song

The Drifters made some brilliant singles in the 70s which maybe surprisingly were big hits but I'm unfamiliar with most of their earlier output - don't know This Magic Moment at all.

Just had a quick look, I wasn't overly familiar with "This Magic Moment" either but it spent 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 16 in April 1960 and is currently their 3rd most popular song on Spotify with 22m streams so well worth checking this one out

Just looked up The Drifters in my chart and interestingly they have peaked exactly once in each of the top 6 positions up to 1974. This Magic Moment is listed as a song that didn't chart on 19 March 1960 when Dance With Me was #23 the same week. That one peaked at #21.

Yeah a lot of their early songs didn't chart in the UK, a quick look at my top 1000 songs of the 60s I have these on my playlist with a good chance of going top 5
Save The Last Dance For Me Saturday Night at the Movies Under the Boardwalk Sweets For My Sweet Up on the Roof

Actually I spot now they have had two #3 hits. Their big hits in my chart were: #1 Under The Boardwalk #2 Up On The Roof #3 Save The Last Dance For Me #3 At The Club #4 Come On Over To My Place #5 On Broadway #6 Saturday Night At the Movies "At The Club" and "Come On Over To My Place" had chart runs that crossed in 1965 and they were #5 and #6 on the same week at one point.
"Sweets For My Sweet" reached only #12 in my chart.
