Five years ago I did the same ranking for 1970s, now it’s time to rate all 205 UK # 1 singles from 1990s.
My Top 10 favourite UK # 1 singles (1970s) : 1. Dana - All Kinds Of Everything (1970) - 10 2. Blondie - Sunday Girl (1979) - 10 3. New Seekers - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me (1974) - 9 4. Brotherhood Of Man - Figaro (1978) - 9 5. ABBA - Knowing Me, Knowing You (1977) - 9 6. Blondie - Heart Of Glass (1979) - 9 7. ABBA - Waterloo (1974) - 9 8. Peters and Lee - Welcome Home (1973) - 9 9. Brotherhood Of Man - Angelo (1977) - 8 10. Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta - Summer Nights (1978) - 8
Also you can try to predict the highest UK # 1 song from male singer / group in this ranking.
Full list of UK # 1s in 1990s here : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UK_Singles_Chart_number_ones_of_the_1990s
I didn't separate two versions of "Three Lions" and will rate only "These Are the Days Of Our Lives" from Queen's double A-side single.

I don't know many people who would rather see Robson & Jerome at #1 than the Prodigy!

None of these so far would be anywhere near the bottom of my list for the 90s!

None of these so far would be anywhere near the bottom of my list for the 90s! I hate dance music, it's very predictable to see all these tracks in the bottom. Many good songs were blocked from # 1 by them and it makes me sad.
I don't dislike novelty tracks and much more loyal to British/Irish boybands than the majority of Haven members.

Which Erasure cover from "Abba-esque" (EP) counts as a main track and was played in UK chart when reached # 1 ?

My prediction is Take That with Back for good. My prediction is Hanson - MmmBop
Thanks for your predictions. Based on my love to pop music there are many possible choices like Robbie Williams, Elton John, George Michael, Bryan Adams, Boyzone, Take That, Michael Jackson, Wet Wet Wet, Ronan Keating, Cliff Richard and some others.
Maybe I will surprise you by something unpredictable in a role of my favourite male # 1 song as something from Oasis, Blur or Clash.
Let's wait and see.

I get the hate for Mr. Vain, a lot of people do, but Rhythm is a dancer is absolutely brilliant!

197. Adamski - Killer (12 May 1990) (4 weeks) 198. Snap! - The Power (31 March 1990) (2 weeks)
"Killer" got some my additional hate, because Kylie deserved # 1 with the one from her best songs.
Top 10 songs, which I would like to see at # 1 instead it : 31 March : B-52s - Love Shack (New # 1, only # 2 in UK) 7 April : B-52s - Love Shack (2nd week) 12 May : Kylie Minogue - Better The Devil You Know (New # 1, only # 2 in UK) 19 May : Kylie Minogue - Better The Devil You Know (2nd week) 26 May : Kylie Minogue - Better The Devil You Know (3rd week) 2 June : New Order - World In Motion (1st week)

'Killer' and 'The Power' are 2 of the best dance records of all-time IMO.

No Limit I can understand - but Killer and Rhythm Is A Dancer worse than Turtle Power or The Stonk, I am trying to get my head around. Killer is brilliant!
I reckon Cher or Blondie are going to be very high up.

At the time I would have said 'Lay all your love on me', but now it seems to be 'Take a chance on me' which was also the one featured on their GH. If my memory serves correctly it was treated as a proper EP with all tracks receiving airplay. Lay All Your Love On Me received the mist radio play with SOS also making the airplay charts but Take A Chance.. seemed to get the more video plays (presumably because they dressed as Abba) They performed Take A Chance... on Top Of The Pops on its first week but subsequent weeks they showed a different video of the 4 available.
