The film chronicling the various ups and downs of The Go-Go's is on the new Sky Documentaries channel.
I've never been a big follower of theirs, much preferred the pop of Belinda's solo stuff but I'd really recommend watching this for fans of either, it was really interesting and the soundtrack was great.
Considering the large volume of drugs they took back then, they all still look really good, particularly Charlotte Caffey whose heroin addiction almost consumed her.
I thought Jane Wiedlin came across really well. She's still cute, even in her 60s. I liked how she stood by her principles and walked away when the band was imploding due to financial issues.
I was surprised at how ruthlessly some people were treated, especially Ginger (the 'sixth Go-Go') given how much she'd sacrificed for their success. A case of ambition at the expense of loyalty.
A great film though.

I know a sound engineer who said that of all the bands he worked with, the wildest, most rock & roll band ever was The Go-Go's. He refuses to tell me all the stories about them on the basis that a) I wouldn't believe them and b) public decency.
One I do know is that the passageway down their tour bus was called The Love Canal, as they'd grope whoever was walking down it.
I wish I had been on that tour bus.
