Tottenham sacked Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019. At that point Spurs had played 11 matches and taken 14 points. Overall, Pochettino won 54% of his games as Spurs manager, and drew 21%.
Spurs have taken just 11 points from their last 12 matches, so 3 fewer than Pochettino with 1 extra game played. Mourinho's overall record at Spurs is 51% wins, 23% draws.
The stats say that Mourinho is definitely no better than Pochettino, and his impact is now probably a negative one.
As Spurs are my least favourite Premier Division club, and Mourinho is my least favourite Premier Division manager, I find this hilarious. I just hope they don't sack him.

Just got taught a footballing lesson by the Moysiah too, I was just saying to my mate yesterday who was hinting at Klopp having 10 games to save his job. I said they are in the Pochetino scenario (so are Sheff Utd) where by the best manager for the job is the manager currently in the job. 18 months time you can guarantee both Liverpool and Sheff Utd will be in a much worse position if they panic and pull thrle trigger in the next 6 months. Spurs are the blueprint for messing up like this, the best manager to replace Mourinho who is floundering is probably Pochetino! Ofcourse he has a bigger and better job now so its not possible but the list of alternative available managers to take a club like Spurs to the next level is a list of 0 names. They really have screwed themselves and its great to watch

Agree with all of the above except Sheffield United. They'll be watching Norwich closely, and will remember Huddersfield, who ditched Wagner and almost ended up crashing down two divisions. If the Blades don't take another point this season, they'll still keep Wilder, and rightly so. They recognise over-achievement when they see it.

100% that's what Sheff Utd should do and I think they will be all the better for it, Wilder is the best manager to get Sheff Utd back up, made no sense to me all the talk of sacking him when they had 1 and hadn't won in 15 games, thankfully it looks like common sense won on that occasion

A cynic would say that Dover are doing that because they are bottom and 8 points adrift, but they do have the games in hand to get out of it. I thought teams were given money to carry on, I presume this wasn't enough? But there's now going to be no relegation if there isn't promotion from the leagues below? But maybe still promotion to the football league? If not, then we will have no relegation from league 2 either, which will then mean teams play youth teams, but teams can still be promoted? Chaos. I've paid little attention to non league this season after the way last season was handled (and L1 and L2 as well) in case the same thing happened again...but think a couple of months ago read how few games Dover had played by then (plus Herne Bay after the restrictions from the 2nd lockdown) and knew that it would be very difficult for them to complete the season at that point (the Herne Bay manager pretty much said the season wouldn't finish and that was before this lockdown started). Dover had games called off for COVID and obviously since then games would have been called off because of the weather. This situation first started with the circuit breaker last month because the money that was promised turned out to be loans that would have to be paid back and obviously clubs can't afford to do that. Since the vote apparently the Government have offered a 5m grant to complete the season? But as time goes on there's less time to complete the season, unless they would be willing to play on into May and June by which time they may be able to get fans in? Heard one of the Maidstone co chairmen interviewed on Radio Kent last week and he wasn't happy that the season had been stopped. When I saw the votes for National North and South could see why. Most of the clubs that voted to stop were in the North. It was close in the South but the majority wanted to continue.

Sad to read that former Newcastle player and manager Glenn Roeder has died. He played for Newcastle for 6 years including the glorious promotion season of 1983/4 when the team included kevin Keegan, Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle and Terry McDermott. A very cultured player with an almost unique style of play for a centre half at the time. He didn't play the head / hoof style but instead played the ball out of defence. He managed Newcastle for a year, from 2006 to 2007, his time as manager at Newcastle sandwiched between the turmoil years of Graeme Souness and Sam Allardyce. His was a period of relative calm although his time as manager was hampered by injuries to a number of key players. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56233217

Ian St John: Former Liverpool & Scotland forward dies at age 82 www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56250355His time at Liverpool was before my time following football. I remeber him as being one half of Saint and Greavsie in the 1980s.

I do remember Saint and Greavsie on the tv, used to enjoy it. Peter Lorimer isn't very well either. Sad news all round.

Saint And Greavsie was the Soccer AM of its day! Kind of. Not as much humour, but more light-hearted than Football Focus, which was pretty much just interviews and highlights and slotted in as part of Grandstand. Saint And Greavsie had more novel ideas like trying to find England's fastest footballer by staging a series of 100m sprint races (on grass), which were shown throughout the season, and having some guy called Donald Trump conduct the quarter-final draw for the Rumbelows Cup, in what was undoubtedly his career highlight.

Liverpool 0 Fulham 1
I was hoping Liverpool could have done Newcastle a favour. Instead Liverpool crash to a sixth consecutive home defeat. Last season Liverpool were invincible, this season they are dreadful. I can see Jurgen Klopp leaving.
Man City 0 Man Utd 2
City's long winning streak crashes to a halt against their bitter rivals. I was tempted to put a bet on Utd winning 2-0 but decided against it.

Interesting that Klopp got Dortmund to the CL final and won the Bundesliga back to back seasons aswel as a domestic cup, they were amazing for a few year and after that they fell apart in spectacular fashion. In Klopps last season at Dortmund after 19 games they were bottom of the league on 16 points! When it goes wrong for him it goes WRONG

Well they will if they're not in the Champions League... Harry Kewell sacked at Oldham in other footballing news, Oldham's owner very dodgy. Paul Scholes lasted about 5 days there, before he realised the problems!

In these situations Klopp has always relied on his assistant manager of 17 years, nicknamed the brain, he came up with Klopps playbook but walked away a few year ago and won't even mention Klopp by name and didn't say congratulations when Klopp won the CL or league, sounds to me like he was a very big part of Klopps success
He said "It felt like I’ve been the manager for all those 17 years. I did the job of a manager, except speaking in public and giving interviews."
Klopp is also a very bad loser, he can't handle failure, behind closed doors I wouldn't be surprised if he has lost the respect of the players expecially if they believe the old assistant was influential in the day to day football side and Klopp is more the cheerleader, motivational coach, its easy to motivate players when they are winning and riding the wave, not so much now, the ideas man has gone, and he is out of ideas other than play Jordan Henderson at CB and embarrassingly complain about everthing, it's so cringe worthy. No way making lame embarrassing excuses instead of fixing the problem and playing Henderson at CB isn't fracturing the dressing room big time

Goal of the season for me. I've never seen anyone hit a ball from that far out, maybe a little wind assistance, but still an absolute stunner!

It's been confirmed that National League North and South have been declared null and void. The National League will continue but with no relegation just promotion.
