Wasn't it Aidan Turner as the vampire in the first series of Being Human - or was he a later recast? I really enjoyed the first two seasons of that but I gave up after that. Promising show though. Yes your right Guy Flanagan was only in the pilot episode and Aidan Turner was the vampire in the first series 3 series, seems they re-cast two of the main characters between the pilot episode and the first series with Lenora Crichlow (Annie) taking over from Andrea Riseborough too

49. Man v Food (2008-)
No. of Episodes: 155Man v. Food is an American food reality television series. It premiered on December 3, 2008 on the Travel Channel. The program was originally hosted by actor and food enthusiast Adam Richman. In each episode, Richman explores the "big food" offerings of a different American city before facing off against a pre-existing eating challenge at a local restaurant. Travel Channel announced in May 2017 that the series would be revived, with actor, food lover, and restaurant business veteran Casey Webb replacing Richman as host but it was never as good

48. Survivors (2008-2010)
No. of Episodes: 12
Survivors is a British science fiction television series produced by the BBC. It depicts the lives of a group of people who survived a virulent unknown strain of influenza which has wiped out most of the human species . According to the producers, the series is not a remake of the 1970s BBC television series Survivors (1975–1977), created by Terry Nation, but rather is loosely based on the novel of the same name that Nation wrote following the first series of the 1970s programme. Two series were produced of the new show: series 1 ran on BBC One and BBC HD in November–December 2008, and series 2 ran in January–February 2010, ending with a cliffhanger. The BBC announced on 13 April 2010 that due to poor viewing figures Survivors had been cancelled I thought the show was brilliant and had huge potential, annoyingly people seemed to warm to the idea of post apocalyptic dystopian themed tv series and films after this was cancelled, i reckon it would do very well if it was released now

47. Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (2004-2014)
No. of Episodes: 128
Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is a television programme featuring British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay first broadcast on Channel 4 in 2004. In each episode, Ramsay visits a failing restaurant and acts as a troubleshooter to help improve the establishment in just one week. Ramsay revisits the restaurant a few months later to see how business has fared in his absence. Episodes from series one and two have been re-edited with additional new material as Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares Revisited; they featured Ramsay checking up on restaurants a year or more after he attended to them. An American adaptation of this show, titled Kitchen Nightmares, debuted 19 September 2007 on Fox. In October 2009 Ramsay announced that after his four-year contract expired in 2011 he would not continue with Kitchen Nightmares and would instead work on his other shows. In June 2014, however, Ramsay announced that the UK version would return for four episodes after a seven-year hiatus called Costa Del Nightmares, i loved them all so clumped them all in together here

Loved Survivors, gutted when it was cancelled, especially as the second season ended with a cliff-hanger and I'm sure a third season would have been brilliant ... guess we'll never know.

I loved Survivors too and have them all on DVD. They really should have finished it off though, even if it was just with a one-off special to tie up the loose ends.

46. American Horror Story (2011-)
No. of Episodes: 103
American Horror Story is an American anthology horror television series. Each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a different set of characters and settings, and a storyline with its own "beginning, middle, and end." Some plot elements of each season are loosely inspired by true events. Many actors appear in more than one season, but often play a new character. Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe have returned most frequently, all appearing in nine of the ten seasons with Frances Conroy appearing in seven and Kathy Bates appearing in six. So far there has been 9 series, I thought the first 4 series were brilliant, up there with the best TV of the last decade but series 5 lost its way with Lady Gaga sexing everyone up, I just couldn't get into it so I moved onto Roanoke but that was just ok too, i hear the last few series are much better though but I haven't seen them yet, I watch them on Netflix so have to wait until they get added so as haven't seen/didn't like 4 of the last 5 series I can only place AHD at 46, if it was based on just the first 4 series it would be top 10 easy 1.1 Murder House (2011) 1.2 Asylum (2012–13) 1.3 Coven (2013–14) 1.4 Freak Show (2014–15) 1.5 Hotel (2015–16) 1.6 Roanoke (2016) 1.7 Cult (2017) 1.8 Apocalypse (2018) 1.9 1984 (2019)

45. QI (2003-)
No. of Episodes: 260
Another brilliant show I've lost interest in, it hasn't been the same since Stephen Fry left, quite frankly he made the show and luckily he gave us 13 year of Quite Interesting facts! for anyone living under a rock QI (short for Quite Interesting) is a British comedy panel game television quiz show and features permanent panellist Alan Davies. Stephen Fry was host of the show from its initial pilot, before departing after the final episode of the M series in 2016, exactly half way through the alphabet, with frequent QI panellist Sandi Toksvig replacing him prior to the beginning of the N series in 2016. The format of the show focuses on Davies and three other guest panellists answering questions that are extremely obscure, making it unlikely that the correct answer will be given. To compensate, the panellists are awarded points not only for the right answer, but also for interesting ones, regardless of whether they are right or even relate to the original question, while points are deducted for "answers which are not only wrong, but pathetically obvious" – typically answers that are generally believed to be true but in fact are misconceptions. These answers, referred to as "forfeits", are usually indicated by a loud klaxon and alarm bell, flashing lights, and the incorrect answer being flashed on the video screens behind the panellists. Bonus points are sometimes awarded or deducted for challenges or incorrect references, varying from show to show. QI has a philosophy that "everything is interesting if looked at in the right way".

Ooh, I used to love QI but haven't seen it in years. I've always been intrigued by American Horror Story, but never watched it - I'm tempted but I am a real lightweight with horror so there is a genuine risk I will never sleep again

I have almost finished The Umbrella Academy season 1. Very entertaining.
I have only watched AHS seasons 1 and 9, first scared the sh*t out of me, season 9 was quite fun! I might have a look at the other 7 seasons, do you recommend any in particular?

44. Dark Tourist (2018)
No. of Episodes: 8
Dark Tourist is a New Zealand documentary series about the phenomenon of dark tourism, presented by journalist David Farrier. The series, which was released by Netflix only has one series but there are rumours a second might be in the pipeline. This is one I hugely recommend, in the 8 episodes he travels to "Latin America", "Japan", "United States", "The Stans", "Europe", "Southeast Asia", "Africa" and "Back in the USA" with each episode focussing on one of these areas, from a nuclear lake to a haunted forest, journalist David Farrier visits unusual and often macabre tourism spots around the world
