I actually find I quite like this -an improvement on the recent Tina Turner horror.

I'd love it if he took an old obscure Tiffany track, such as 'Back in the groove' or 'Drop that bomb', and got it into the charts!

Notice it says "expected 30 October" Be interesting to compare the Diana Ross track with the Eric Kupper remix a #1 US Dance track in 2018.

I mentioned the date in my post. What point are you making rubcale?

Sorry, as usual too vague.
It is the "expected" i.e. it's not confirmed.

Oh ok, I don't see "expected" as a problem. That's fairly common parlance I think

Especially true these days when physical releases so frequently follow weeks after the Streaming/Digital drop. Assuming there would even be a physical release.

I highly doubt it's a physical release

The problem is Kygo is just such a meh artist, I can't think of a single song of his that's actually interesting (Higher Love is great but that's 100% down to Whitney) - there are other producers who could do a much better job of remixing these songs.

Daddy Cool is an odd one on that list - but I can totally hear it without actually having to listen to it.
I did do a bit of Kygo reading to see if this was leading to something more - odd strategy releasing an album a few months ago and then not mentioning it again - so a full mini album doesn’t surprise me as he “wants to get out the DJ booth”. A whole Snacks type affair where it keeps get added and added to it, so into a playlist then album release also wouldn’t shock. I think it’s just missing another “big” hit right now.

The thing is these days it’s not odd at all to release an album and then totally leave it. Seems to be more common these days and the exceptions are the Harry Styles, Dua Lipa and Lady GaGa’s of the world. It must just prove financially illogical to continue promoting an album when it’s already out there.

Especially in Kygo's case when so many of the tracks had been released ahead of the album

Kygo is a great artist but i agree that he should have taken 'not well known' of those artists and give it a new spin like he did for 'Higher Love'

There is zero artistry in simply putting a beat over someone else's song. These barely even qualify as remixes.

If I was going to go for a Divas & Dancers ep:
1) Higher Love w/Whitney Houston 2) Dare Me w/Pointer Sisters 3) Just Like Jesse James w/Cher 4) I Don’t Wanna Get Hurt w/Donna Summer 5) Roses w/Haywoode 6) Set Me Free w/Jaki Graham
