I know it’s not easy to get excited about a new Katie Melua album, but I really like this lead single.
However it’s been 10 long years since the excellent The House, and everything in between has been OK.

I'm really looking forward to this.
But can't believe it's been 10 years since The Flood!

I had a Katie afternoon in the car, and The Flood is such a great song.
There are a lot of good songs in her back catalogue, but an equal amount of wince. Closest Thing To Crazy I loved at the time, and then got overplayed and ended up as an advert song for DFS or some sofa advert. I do secretly love the factually incorrect Nine Million Bicycles still it seems.

I'd forgotten all about 'The Flood' - that is such a great song. In fact the whole album was good.
I don't know why I fell out of interest with her really, because I bought and liked her first 4 albums. This one is rather lovely though.

Oh my word - I've just been listening to her on Spotify. How had I forgotten about 'If You Were A sailboat's existence?
