I don't know your number one but this is probably my favourite UK #1 that begins with the word Love

I found a few number 11s including one of our Eurovision entries.
Anyway, I'm going to insert this here, I posted the Leona Lewis song earlier, and this was 2 places higher than it in my chart

Don't think I've mentioned this act yet on this thread...
...House Of Love is a bloody misleading name for the group, makes them sound Madchester or rave, rather than deep dreampop.

1. I :: 1,064 songs
Out in front, by a long long way, is I. About 3% of the songs in my CD collection start with I.
I've wimped out of working my way through over a thousand songs to pick my favourite. Instead, because they're both great, I've simply picked the first and last, alphabetically. And thus we end this thread with:-
I Ain't Gonna Stand For It - Stevie Wonder I Zimbra - Talking Heads
And I'm more than happy to sign off with one of the most talented musicians there has ever been, and the very first cult band that I got into.

The best songtitle of all time?
When I'm pining for a cigarette I think of all the free ones that I'd get If I killed myself And came back As a beagle...
And I haven't had OMD yet...this was a b-side. They were far more experimental than given credit for, even more outré than the likes of Can and Neu!, not so much as Faust, but Faust couldn't find a tune...

They prefer Steps and Eminem - and of course Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga. But they prefer him to Bob Marley.. Still mentioning Bob Marley, one of his most famous songs.

Before this, no one cared about the Beatles in the States…
Their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.
(BTW, their second, third, and fourth singles were released in the States and hardly anybody bought them in 1963; their first was released in the States in 1964, and it was the version that appears on the "Please Please Me" LP that was released as a single in the States!)
