6 Music has this morning been counting down its top 10 albums of the year, as decided by its own DJs.
The list looks like this:
1. Sault - Untitled (Black Is) 2. Fontaines DC - A Hero's Death 3. Fleet Foxes - Shore 4. BC Camplight - Shortly After Takeoff 5. Bob Dylan - Rough And Rowdy Ways 6. Nadine Shah - Kitchen Sink 7. Cornershop - England Is A Garden 8. Run The Jewels - RTJ4 9. Doves - The Universal Want 10. Sports Team - Deep Down Happy

Mojo and Uncut both picked Bob Dylan's LP as their record of the year. Its as if the world is expecting him to die soon. For those who haven't heard it, Rough And Rowdy Ways is barely listenable, endlessly rambling rubbish. And I write that as someone who likes a lot of Dylan's 21st century music. I'm very pleased to see Cornershop, Nadine Shah and Doves on 6 Music's list. There are a couple of others there I'll need to give an airing to, including Sault. Thanks for posting Panda.

I haven't heard Sault's album but I would highly recommend the single 'Wildfires'.

My favourite there by a long way is Sports Team same 6Music is so middle-aged, they really needs to give it a refresh. It can't survive on Gen Xers and hipster boomers forever. Fontaines and Sports Team only acts under 30. To be fair never heard of the number one, will check it out Also I know a lot of albums have been delayed this year so it was never going to be a classic year for albums
