Some cracking tunes in here, but the 80s are my era! I'm so bad, I never knew Heart attack and vine was a Tom Waits song, I only knew the Screaming Jay Hawkins version, which I see caused a furore when used in the ad as Tom Waits doesn't like his music used commercially. Would have been a good song to use in Cover Idol, wonder if it will show up?

I don't like "Rapture", "The Winner" is the one from the best ABBA hits.

"You've Got to be a Hustler" was recorded before "Rapture", can we name Sue Wilkinson the first female rapper ? Note Slade's Don Powell on percussion.
"Geno" is a terrific song, I was surprised when I got the 1984 edition of the GBoHS - the first one I ever had - that it had only been no. 1 for 2 weeks, in my memory it had been on top for months. It was a huge part of my early listening childhood.
But dare I say the follow-up was even better?

'Love will tear us apart' is one of those songs that just keeps getting better with age, and it never sounds uncool.
