I tend to try and buy the deluxe versions of albums on CD if I can.

I used to find it really annoying though, when I bought the original version of a CD by an artist I loved - and then the deluxe version would come out a few months later with a couple of extra tracks on so I would have to pay full price just for 2 tracks.

Very annoying. Eventually I just stopped buying new CDs and only ever picked them up after the 'era' was closed and the discs were cheaper anyway. And with a lot of albums I'd have gone off them by that point so I'd never bother.

Alot of the deluxe editions from 2000 upwards fetching crazy prices example I got a deluxe edition by a band called Caravan The land of grey and pink deluxe cost me £12 at the time is now worth £40.

If they're available when the album is first released, then fair enough, otherwise they might as well be called the "Haha! Suckers!!" Edition.

I tend to go for the deluxe edition but it depends on the artist and price.
What i dont like is when you pay £12 for a 9 track album like the Foo Fighters is as i collect all the number one albums
I think 9 tracks is lazy considering you can get at least 20 on a cd

There are very few artists who can keep my interest for 20 tracks - I'd much rather a well thought out and cohesive album than a 'fill it to the brim just because we can' record.

I think 10 -12 tracks is about right for a album have to be pretty special album to have 20 tracks that are all good.

no to deluxe albums for me, usually all filler that never made the album for a good reason

Fill the disc with as much as possible for me, thanks but make sure it's a jewel case. I hate those 'digipacks' (if that's what they're called). Jewel cases fit my shelving perfectly, Digipacks do not and are easily skuffed and can be finicky to even get the disc out if they're in a card pocket.
