Welcome to Frank Edwin's 10/10/2021 Salad Bar Top 100 weekly inclusive feast where we invite you to Chow Down on a fresh variety of tasty musical artist cuisine. Romaine Calm - Turnip the Beet - Find Inner Peas.
There are currently over 200 songs waiting to join the buffet. To facilitate the opportunity of having more songs join the chart we are now giving 6 songs each week the special designation of #1 Saladđ„Song.
It is a pleasure to present Jakub & Dawid with our Saladđ„Bowl in honour of âINNIâ being given the designation of a #1 Saladđ„Song in its 12th week on the chart.
"Every day more than 300 people from the LGBT community experience verbal or physical violence in Poland. This happens in schools, at work, on the street, on marches, and even at home. The oppressors are neighbors, school friends, family members, anonymous passersby, or organized fascist groups.
It also affects ourselves. We never talked about it, but so far we have reported more than 80 cases of penalty threats to the Police. From our daily struggles and experiences, the song âČâČ Others âČâČ was created. Conversely, it has a positive sound. In it we describe the born feeling of love that winged us, makes us happy, that sometimes we try to fight and that sometimes embarrasses us, but that is no different than the love of others. With this song, we want to reach all people whose hearts haven't been consumed by hatred and say out loud: âČâČ We are not different!".
We hope this âČâČ protest song âČâČ will become a kind of anthem of our community, because it's time to be proud of ourselves. And not for a month, but for a whole year!"

We are pleased to welcome Hayden Joseph to the pinnacle in his 10th week on the chart and place a cherry tomato on top of âOutâ giving it the special designation as a #1 Saladđ„Song.
"3 years ago, I wrote âOut.â after seeing a light flashing on and off on an NYC E-Train. It took about 20 minutes to write, but its journey from my Word documents to streaming platforms has been much longer. At its core, itâs simply a song about celebrating who you are..."

"Teenage Sequence is Dewan-Dean Soomary, a London musician who used to be in bands like King Blues and Bleach Blood. As Teenage Sequence, Soomary makes twitchy, self-conscious dance-rock that evokes the early â00s. Specifically, Teenage Sequenceâs debut single âAll This Artâ seems inspired by LCD Soundsystemâs âLosing My Edgeâ; itâs been many years since I heard anything quite so dialed into that early James Murphy withering rant-style.
âAll This Artâ opens with Soomary talking about the conversation that surrounds beloved DC indie label Dischord Records and even gets skeptical about its myth: âIf you are wondering, there is a direct correlation between the levels of Caucasian testosterone and factual masturbation over a million dollar DIY record label.â Over the next six and a half minutes, Soomary gives you a lot to pick through: âIf youâre in a position to do so, sign me, you racist.â The music is a genuinely impressive swirl of arpegiatted synths and hard-hitting drum sounds. It all works as a harsh interrogation of underground-music thinking, which ultimately isnât all that different from what it was when âLosing My Edgeâ dropped.
Talking about the song, Soomary says:
âAll This Artâ is as much about the systemic racism of the UK music industry as it is my own neurosis, as serious about these subjects as it (an attempt at being) humorousâin a sort of âif you donât laugh, youâd stare blankly into the void wondering whatâs the pointâ way. I never intended for the first Teenage Sequence single to be 6.23 seconds of the same beat (pop career suicide), but here we are!"

In her 13th week on the chart we are delighted to give alternative-pop artist and singer-songwriter Kenna her first Saladđ„Bowl in honour of âUpside Downâ becoming a #1 Saladđ„Song.
Kenna shares the inspiration behind the song: âI had recently found out that my girlfriend was going to be moving to Boston for medical school. I knew I had to stay in Nashville to keep chasing my dreams in the music industry. We both had never done long distance before and were incredibly scared of what the future would hold. We were staring down the barrel of four years of long distance, and it felt really scary. I knew she was the one for me, and that in the end it would be worth it.
Now, we are two years into the long distance, and we have a little under two years left. âUpside Downâ has become an ode to going to the ends of the earth for someone you love and supporting them even in the tough timesâwhether thatâs a partner or a friend, a family member or anyone that you care deeply about. Now, we couldâve never even imagined how deeply the meaning of this song could resonate. After everything thatâs happened in the last yearâCOVID-19 and all the loss, sadness, and grief that has come along with itâmore than ever, we all have just needed someone to love, see us and lean on.â

In his 11th week on the chart Matthew Richardsonâs "BLUE" - An X Circus Film About Gender featuring an Aerial LED Pole Performance featuring Zed CĂ©zard is given the special honour as a #1 Saladđ„Song.
From the video description we learn:
ââBLUEâ is a performance reflecting on gender identity and the struggles many of us face - when we donât look or feel the way the world expects us to be. Featuring Zed CĂ©zard - A part of my X Circus short film series.
This project is well over a year in the making. We filmed just before the pandemic hit and immediately put everything on hold. I'm so happy to finally present this beautiful film and to discuss the important topic of gender, and the rules we often set for boys vs. girlsâŠ
THE X CIRCUS is my attempt to create a platform for LGBTQ+ artists to openly express queer stories and art, and to present acts that normally are not always seen on stage. My goal is to create more normalcy and a kinder world for the queer community.â
