The Indie Forum needs band suggestions for it's "blurb" on the main page. I can probably put up to five artists in there, so who's big and got something out or coming out, or who's the next up and coming artist that should get a mention? We can edit every 6/12 months to keep it fresh... Suggest up to 3 each and we will see who we end up with.

Sam Fender and Blossoms have been around for a while now, not "next big things" anymore.
I guess some of BBC's list for 2022 may be "next big thing" indie acts.

Wolf Alice (since they are apparently Haven darlings) and I'd agree with Sam Fender too, he's not a new artist but he's very popular and quite a few of us like him.

Can't go too niche or nobody will know what bands they are, they have to be fairly well known No point saying welcome to this section of the forum, check it out if you like bands like "Chappaqua Wrestling", "Oscar Lang" and "Blanketman"

How about Royal Blood but they are on 3rd album even ? The indie scene is pretty slow moving especially the big acts and rock is even worse as Bring Me The Horizon are bigger than ever and they are fifteen years old. The big names are still the same big names and the rest are very fragmented. We could all pick a bunch of acts and barely overlap. Freshness in the mainstream is the thing that is sadly lacking in general.

Looking at the release schedule for the next couple have Sherlocks, Miles Kane, Spector, White Lies and Sea Power. Not exactly all new acts but within the scope of the forum.

The five artists I would name are:- Blossoms, Sam Fender, Sherlocks, Vistas and Sundara Karma.

Definitely Sam Fender, and I'd agree with Blossoms, Wet Leg and Wolf Alice too. Would love to say Sundara Karma but think they're maybe a bit too peripheral?

If we’re including artist without an imminent release, I’d definitely include Sam Fender and Blossoms. Maybe The Latham’s too.

I like just to have it all on one line and luckily, Blossoms, Lathums, Royal Blood, Sam Fender, Sherlocks, Wet leg and Wolf Alice all fit on nicely Please feel free to suggest amendments to it as we go through the year

That's the beauty of having short band names ha. Yes thank goodness nobody nominated Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs!, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, or Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, couldn’t think of 5 current bands.

I see Wombats have a new album due soon. They probably hit the spot for being indie and well known.
