#1 Salad🥗Song: Kyle Craft - Violinist w/ Pianist John Simon - Strauss "Blue Danube" Waltz
It is a joy to place a cherry tomato on top of Violinist Kyle Craft’s heartfelt rendition of the “Blue Danube Waltz” accompanied by pianist John Simon giving it the special designation as a #1 Salad🥗Song in its 10th week on the chart.
Kyle shares, "Johann Strauss is my favorite composer and his music has played the biggest role in my career so every year on his birthday I honor him by playing his most famous work. 10 years ago I started my Performing Career and gave my first concert. So I want to honor him with my recording of his most famous composition which happens to be my favorite piece in the world. Long live my Johann Strauss."
Kyle performs all over Northern California at many diverse events.

Raised on the theatrical virtuosity of Jimi Hendrix, Weird Al Yankovic, and the Marx Brothers, R3id Libby combines the braininess of literature and the histrionics of the stage into theatre pop.
R3id’s third album in a series on performance, exploration, and perfection, "A Is For Ella", is a gender adventure rich with synesthetic textures and colorful characters. The songs are exclusively in the key of A to provide listeners a completely shuffle-able experience that vibrates at 440 Hz.
R3id asks another question to those enjoying the ambrosial feast: "What else might this awakening world contain?" We’ve contemplated the answer for 10 weeks now and it is a delight to present R3id with their first Salad🥗Bowl in honour of this important question being given the designation of a #1 Salad🥗Song.

Indie-pop quartet The Aces are back at the pinnacle of the Salad🥗Bar 101 in their 12th week on the chart with “Don’t Freak,” an important narrative following lead singer Cristal Ramirez‘s struggle with her mental health.
“When you struggle with your mental health, you start to realize very quickly just how little space is held for you in society. You quickly feel like a burden to those around you and end up thinking, ‘Why can’t I just get my s*** together?’ constantly,” Ramirez shares.
“Mental health issues are something everyone goes through, and not only do we need to be talking more about it, but we need to be holding space for it.”
What personal experiences helped inspire the deep lyrics in the new song?
I’ve struggled with anxiety for my entire life and recently [had] severe panic attacks that wouldn’t allow me to sleep most nights. There is a lot of shame around mental health struggles, and I have felt that really heavily this year.
How has your creative process grown since sharing your album Under My Influence to creating this track?
The pandemic has really changed us as artists and as a band. Taking a step back and realizing what is most important to us has brought out authenticity on a new level. It feels like the best version of the Aces yet.
Why is mental health important to discuss in your music, and what do you hope listeners take away from “Don’t Freak”?
That we need to extend more patience to those who are struggling, and those who are struggling need more space to feel safe and be honest about what they’re going through. It only makes your mental state a lot worse when you bottle it up. Interview by Maria Serra for Alternative Press

In her 17th week on the chart we are delighted to give French-American singer-songwriter and producer Francesca Blanchard her first Salad🥗Bowl in honour of “Loon Song” becoming a #1 Salad🥗Song. ““Loon Song” was inspired by a 2am loon call I heard on a camping trip earlier this [past] summer,” Blanchard tells Atwood Magazine. “It’s a sound that always seems to ground me, to fuel my gratitude for the present moment and excitement for what’s to come.”

www.francescablanchard.com#1 Salad🥗Song: JORDY - South Dakota
“South Dakota” is a stripped-back offering from JORDY that highlights his lyrical prowess and breadth as a singer/songwriter. The acoustic track muses on the desire to escape to the middle of nowhere and the fear of being forgotten. It is accompanied by a cinematic music video that stunningly illustrates the song’s theme of isolation and longing.
“There are days when I fantasize about leaving LA,” says Jordy, “turning off my phone forever, and escaping to the middle of nowhere. “South Dakota” was written on one of those days with Jonny Shorr and Sophie Hintze. We talked about how nice it would be to disconnect from everything. No social media, no internet. Nothing. The crazy part is that we all have the power to get up and go, but we don’t. The song tackles the feeling of wanting to escape but then also the fear of being forgotten. Sonically the song leans more singer-songwriter/folk rather than the typical upbeat pop production you normally hear in my music. That’s why I’m so excited for the song to come out; it showcases a different side of me.” By Admin for East Portland Blog
We welcome JORDY to the apex of the 101 in his 12th week on the chart as “South Dakota” from his album “Mind Games” garners him is first #1 Salad🥗Song.
