She's plainly in the line of sight. In a straight line between the goalie and the ball when it was struck. This was 100% FIFA protecting the big money.
Unfortunately the commentary in the game was Dumb and Dumber and neither noticed.

Nowhere near the keeper's line of vision.

Other than, as we look at it, the ball is struck from the left hand side of the offside player, and goes to the right. Where the half-cropped Swedish player is.
So therefore in the line of sight.

Changing your story now. You claimed it was a clear line as the ball was struck. I've completely disproved that.

The quality of England's tackling, and ability to win the ball back cleanly, was immense.
Really well played.

Indeed. An excellent performance.
I managed to only catch 1 goal, England's third. Everytime I popped into the kitchen to get a drink of water or a bite to eat I managed to miss a goal. The same thing happened the other day when I was watching the Newcastle v Aston Villa match. 6 goals in the game and I managed to catch just one goal.

Proof that the men are payed way too much to kick a ball. The women make it look so easy.
I think they will go all the way and bring the title home

Back in 2010 Southampton won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy 4-1 at Wembley, against Carlisle. The bloke in front of me missed all four of Saints' goals because it was so important to him that he had a pint in his hand at all times. Two of the goals went in while he was getting a drink, and two went in while he was emptying his bladder. I found it hilarious. You spend the best part of £100 on a day out at Wembley. Which, frankly, isn't an opportunity which comes around very often for Southampton fans. And then you miss every chance you get to leap up and down and wave your hands in the air, because of an infantile desire to get p*ssed up, just like you do every Friday and Saturday night anyway.

Back in November 1981 I went to a Newcastle v Luton Town game with my dad and although we won 3-2 I managed to miss the first 2 goals (scored by Newcastle) because the game had been going for 10 minutes by the time we were able to get into the match (a larger than normal crowd had turned up as Luton were something like top of the old 2nd Division at the time and we were doing well at the time too. There weren't enough turnstiles open despite there still only being 21,000 in the ground). My dad managed to miss all 5 goals as he headed off with 10 minutes to go to make sure he could get his car out of the car park and in those last 10 minutes Luton scored twice to equalise and then Newcastle scored a last minute winner.
Luton, with David Pleat as manager, eventually went up as champions with both watford and Norwich also promoted. Newcastle eventually finished 9th after a bad run of form from Easter onwards and our last two home games - against FA Cup finalists QPR and Wrexham, were played in front of 10,748 and 9,419 respectively. QPR beat us 4-0 and each of their goals was appluaded by the Newcastle supporters. Three months later we played QPR in the first game of the season in front of a 37,000 crowd at St James Park - it was Kevin Keegan's debut for Newcastle after he had signed from Southampton. Needless to say he scored the only goal of the match. The atmosphere that day was electric... and I still prefer the stadium back then to how it is now, even if it was crumbling in places. Just look at the crowd behind the goal. I'm in there somewhere!

This means that the 9 Women's World Cups to date will have had 9 different runners-up. It also means that Germany's achievement of winning both the men's and women's tournaments will no longer be unique.

4 cracking goals and an entertaining match to watch. 500k+ viewers I saw on the BBC website at one point, which was nice to see.
With Lauren James coming back from suspension, I imagine it will be the same team playing in the final with LJ on the bench. I just hope England don't play too complacently.

I just hope the final is on ITV and not Jono "Talk for the sake of talking" Pearson BBC.

I just hope the final is on ITV and not Jono "Talk for the sake of talking" Pearson BBC. Think it's on both BBC1 and ITV, which will please the misogynists and Sunday morning TV moaners. BBC were presenting in the Sydney stadium yesterday. Wonder if ITV will just be presenting from their studio?

Robyn Cowen is BBC's first choice commentator for women's matches. Seb Hutchinson seems to be the choice for ITV.

She isn't much better with her fake excitement and football cliches every 5 minutes, and over exaggerating an average pass/shot/save/tackle. ITV I've enjoyed apart from the ads and lack of analysis because of the ads

I wouldn't say she's fake but I don't think she has much of a way with words when it comes to the big moments.
ITV having Hutchinson over Matterface means there is at least a decision to be made, though the inevitable presence of Eni Aluko is a big negative.
