I'll start this thread by posting the ones from the 1950s as Time Machine is now over. Hopefully we'll get a little more up to date as time goes on. The first few years are just Top 20's as there are only about 20 songs that I'd really want to listen to in these years.
1950
1 Teresa Brewer - Music, Music, Music 2 Gordon Jenkins and The Weavers - Tzena, Tzena, Tzena 3 Nat King Cole - Mona Lisa 4 Doris Day - Enjoy Yourself (It's Later than You Think) 5 Patti Page - Tennessee Waltz 6 Phil Harris - The Thing 7 Ruth Brown - Teardrops from My Eyes 8 Gordon Jenkins and The Weavers - Goodnight Irene 9 Bing Crosby - Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer 10 Doris Day - Bewitched (bothered & bewildered) 11 Guy Mitchell - The Roving Kind 12 Red Foley - Birmingham Bounce 13 Frankie Laine - The Cry of the Wild Goose 14 Hank Williams - Why Don't You Love Me 15 Eileen Barton - If I Knew You Were Coming I’d’ve Baked A Cake 16 Hank Snow - I'm Moving On 17 Red Foley - Chattanoogie Shoe-Shine Boy 18 Eve Young - One Silver Dollar 19 Patti Page - All My Love 20 Gary and Bing Crosby - Simple Melody

The 50s is a sort of dead decade for me.
Prefer Cliff's Travellin' Light to Living Doll
Looking forward to the 60s

Cliff's The Young Ones hasn't aged well.
I also prefer Dance to Lookin' Out The Window.
But I like Dancing Shoes better than Summer Holiday
Really nearly all these 60s tracks are great.
One of my older brothers was a big Helen Shapiro fan and when I inherited the family box of 45's I discovered a good number of singles by her after she fell from popularity and many of them are excellent.

1962 was for me the weakest year of pop ever, but did have some good songs. I don't see "Crying In The Rain" on your list even though the Everly Brothers do regularly appear up to 1960. "Walk Right Back" also fails to appear.
Apart from "Apache" and "Nut Rocker" you've mostly snubbed instrumentals. Not even room for "Green Onions" or "Telstar".
Bobby Rydell had two big NM #1s with "Wild One" in 1960 and "Forget Him" in 1963, the latter of which was written by Tony Hatch.
My charts go back to December 1955 and 1956 was thus the first complete year. My final chart was 1 September 2018.

But I like Dancing Shoes better than Summer Holiday "The Young ones" & "Summer Holiday" I've known off by heart since I was a kid due to the movies being on TV all the time. I'll admit, I had to play "Dancing Shoes" before replying, to remind myself how it goes. Artists such as Jim Reeves & Andy Stewart also appear in these charts, due to me playing their records at my grandparents house as a kid ..... and enjoying them.

Not even room for "Green Onions" or "Telstar". "Crying In The Rain" was in an early version of the Top 30 but dropped out once I added in songs that I had omitted. It would chart if I extended the list to 40, but I feel 30 is enough for a chart from the 1960s. Despite winning Instrumental Idol, I'm not really one for listening to instrumentals. They're OK as part of a chart playlist, but would have to be extra special to land in my end of year chart. I'm gonna send you my 1962 Time Machine votes so you can see how well "Green Onions" did.
