Late 50s/Early 60s singer Johnny Gentle has died. His manager was Larry Parnes. He did however earn a place in the history books for his May 1960 tour of Scotland when his unknown backing group was the core of what became The Beatles (namely Lennon, McCartney and Harrison with Stu Sutcliffe and Tommy Moore).
