I like some of his music but I am beginning to think he is a bit of an idiot. The reason for this is that he only seems to really get noticed by picking on other celebrities who have little to no hope of actually responding or creating a false sense of controversy. I will explain...
He starts off picking on Christina Aguilera when she was just a teenager singing bubblegum pop music and hardly allowed to speak out in interviews, then Will Smith, the only nice guy rapper, then moves on to Moby (one of the weakest looking guys in the music industry) and threatens to beat him up. Ooh, so hard. ;D
More recently is his attack on Michael Jackson (nothing really wrong it, its kinda funny) but it is really obvious that he is doing this to get attention after his most recent singles didn't do too well and musically, he's seriously running out of ideas. If he picked fights with celebs who were more successful as him and had a chance of twatting him for it I would respect him - He takes the p*ss out of MJ but not R Kelly?
What is a worse was his "I hate American society" stance I remember him mentioning in an interview, that was one of his "controversial artistic statments", this then dissappered completely post 9/11. At least if you believe in something stick to your guns. If he stood by hating gay people even when people gave him a hard time over it instead of doing a duet with Elton John he would at least appear to be a man of conviction (even though being a disgusting homophobe).
My point is that he seems to have to rely on either picking on people who can't fight back or creating a false sense of controversy to get noticed. I don't think he'll ever release anything as good as "Stan" again. He's just a tool to sell music to 14 year old wiggers now.
Your opinions?
