They were one of the most popular bands in the late 90s, all their albums selling well, especially Everything Must Go and This is my Truth...
Suddenly, they're back with a gooooood single who makes it at 2, but then the album BOMBS, one week in the top 20, big drop, out of the charts...
I got this theory that it's all because of their last studio album Know Your Enemy, which was completely crap. I've been a big fan sine day 1, bought all their albums the first day they were out, but Know Your Enemy was a HUGE disappointment, really bad,... so I didn't buy this one because of that, maybe they lost a lot of fans there...

I think you're right. I never really got into their last album, prefered the first one myself...

They're just getting old. They've got wives, babies and stuff. They've got no reason to be angry anymore, and that's reflected in their recent music. Whilst some of their die-hard fans are still there, they're not particularly relevant to 14 and 15-year olds who are just getting into music and are into newer bands like the Libertines.

i don't like their new single much at all i'm not too familiar with their stuff, but their older material is MUCH better from what i've heard... although i do love "there by the grace of god"
