Specials - Too Much Too Young. In fact it was a 4-track live EP.
Iron Maiden's 1993 hit "Fear Of The Dark" was also a live recording.
Paul McCartney's hit "Birthday", the only live top 40 hit on which I can claim to have appeared as part of the crowd. So a #29 hit for me, but if only I'd gone to the Freddie Mercury Tribute gig I'd have had a #1. Paul McCartney's single "Coming Up" had a live version on the B-side. In the USA, they preferred that version and made it the A-side. It duly went to #1 over there.

Stereophonics - Local Boy In The Photograph Wasn't that just on one CD of the single? I mean where the main track of the release is the live track, rather than singles where there's a live version of the track on the second CD.

Beatles - All You Need is Love - was recorded Live, apparently, on Live TV broadcast across the entire planet in 1967. That may be the ultimate "live" track that made the charts although it's not clear exactly how much of the live broadcast finally made it onto the single. It made number 1, of course. Edit: Just found this about it at thebeatles.com: "One of the most celebrated pop singles ever, this anthem for love was broadcast virtually as it was recorded - live - in Our World, the first global TV programme, seen by satellite over much of the planet on June 25 1967 John wrote 'All You Need Is Love' especially for Our World, following a brief by the BBC (who commissioned The Beatles as one of the programme's two UK representatives) to 'keep it simple so that viewers across the globe will understand'. 350 million people watched as the item closed the 'Artistic Excellence' section of the programme."
