You're Beautiful is this week top of the Hot 100 according to the Billboard website.He's the first British artist to have a US No.1 since Elton John in '97.

Great news, should ensure the album sells bucketloads more now, look on the bright side Blunt haters, he'll have to tour over there for 6 months I expect.

Congratulations James.
I don't mind his songs in particular - I do think You're Beautiful is his weakest one mind and certainly doesn't 'deserve' that kind of success but then again chart positions are never deserved IMO.
It makes a nice change the States aren't being so self obsessed and will actually make a foreign release no.1. And a nice change from the RnB/Hip Hop sh*te.

The only good song on that album is 'goodbye my lover.' I'm sure if he released that first things would be very different.
