OK, So 2 of the most anticiapted albums of 2006 are released during the same week on Oct 2nd. Both of their first albums were HUGE over here and both sold over 1.5 million copies each. Who do you think will manage #1? I think this will be a close call but I think Evanescence could manage it since their first single, 'Call Me Whn You're Sober' is alot stronger than the Killers' 'When You Were Young'
Let me know what you think!
p.s, sorry if this is the wrong section

Haven't heard Evenescence yet but I imagine Killers have a better shot at hitting number 1 first
I wouldn't rule out Evanescence climbing to number 1 at a later date though

I suspect The Killers will do better. Their type of music is far more popular, although I like both groups.

Hopefully The Killers, I thought that fake goth sh1te band had gone for good.
Do all these cr@p bands like taking long breaks to make us think "thank god for that!", and then come back when you least expect it just to p1ss us off?, it's getting like that now.

^^ I suppose your right, but Evanescence are an awesome band and I was actually starting to think that they werent gonna bring out any new material. I'm glad they're back!
I couldn't care less about The Killers though!

Evanescence song is dull. The Killers' one is not much better. I don't see any of them reaching the top. And their albums are not THAT anticipated I think.

Voted The Killers anyway, as they will chart higher than Evanescence for sure.

I think the Killers have more people anticipating their release so it will probably do better, at least initially. Although I agree that the first single is weak. It's going to be hard for their sophomore effort to live up to their debut. Haven't heard the Evanescence song yet though, so not sure on their single...

I don't think that Evanescence is that bad to be honest. It was refreshing to hear nu-metal with an operatic female vocal for a change and although some dismissed it as God bothering music I didn't think that the lyrics were at all. More about dealing with struggles and intense emotions - good to hear that for a change.
Where 'Fallen' really fell down for me was the lack of variety in the music - the latter half was just retreads of the earlier half.
Their second album, I would hope for more variety and it could do really well.
As for The Killers - good band but a tad overrated IMO>
