Just a rumour at this stage but watch this space....
Record company didn't like a no.40 album.

Wouldn't be too much of a shock after that charting

I wouldn't write off the album just yet. No.40 is crap but it's only after 1 single and there's lots more that could be released to make the album a hit in the new year.

I actually really liked the album - was glad I bought it in the end. Think its a bit much to ask them to get a massive selling album after only 1 single and such a long break. Music companys are too impatient these days!

I agree Smooch, if record companies has always operated that way we wouldn't have amazing bands like The Beatles for crying out loud! They're so afraid to take risks now, it's depressing.

they are washed up and yesterdays news.
good album or not there is not enough public demand for them anymore...so they have 2 options... .. 1) give up, record company will drop them, no demand means no money for them
2) or carry on cos they love the music, it does not matter if they chart 4, 40 or 400 if they dip into their own pockets to fund releases if they get dropped...but they wont meaning they are not in it for the music..so meh

Exactly daz - it was such a blatant cash in. They should have waited for a second single before the album but no they had to get the Christmas market. Well they didn't - hah!

Which is, I would imagine, the label's call, not the girls themselves, so not exactly fair on the group.

They could yet shock us all I suppose and be top 10 in albums at Christmas.

It depends though, surely? If they were marketed as a "pop" band like All Saints then yes, but if they weren't then I doubt they would've. Loads of smaller bands do a second album despite never having anything in the top 20 of either chart...

These days he would probably have been dropped before getting the third single release!

I think it's a great album, but I think they released it a bit too soon after the first single, they should have just waited until after the second single.

The album is alright but I think they should have waited until after Xmas to release it. Releasing it into the busy Xmas market was a mistake.
Maybe they'll turn things around but it's not looking good.
