Fuller: "Spice girls reunion within 18 months" 26 February 2007 - 13:20:53
The Spice Girls are to reunite and perform a world tour within the next 18 months, according to former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. Talking to The Evening Standard, Fuller said the only thing holding up the project was singer Mel C's reluctance to rejoin her former band-mates. "All of the girls are up for it, and the reunion will definitely happen in the next 18 months," says Fuller. "The only person showing any reluctance is Mel C. She thinks her solo career is bigger than the band, which is just not the case. She needs to wise up and realise a reunion would be amazing for everybody concerned. Emma and Geri are meeting her soon to discuss everything and convince her to finally sign a deal." Fuller added that the reunion will only consist of a tour, and will not be see the band returning to the studio to record new material since the girls "all lead very separate lives now". "They'll do a whirlwind tour for six months and they'll be gone again," he said.

I know a few people that would love to see them tour. Might be a good idea if that's all they'll do.

And Emma flopped at #60 with her last single, she is preggers though, so guess they have to wait for her to drop that, and get back into shape, better hope Posh doesn't get up the duff again.

Mel C is the only one that doesn't have any children so she may feel a bit left out.

A Greatest Hits is long overdue now.

A Best Of is a rubbish idea. Hardly fair selling a blank CD is it!!

I'd much rather see The Stone Roses reforming, but that'll never happen either.

I think people will be less interested in this with the announcement of no new material at all. They could at least do one single. And I don't believe for a second that there won't be an accompanying Greatest Hits CD.
I don't own a Spice Girls CD but they were an amazing pop force.

I'd like a Greatest Hits.If they don't come up with any new material....I'd be happy if they remixed 'Never Give Up On The Good Times' and put it out as a single - it was rumoured to be a planned double AA with 'VivaForever' way back in 1997 (or whenever it was) ,but never came to pass. A great song ,one of their best imo.

I'd much rather see The Stone Roses reforming, but that'll never happen either. who are they A Manchester rock band who kickstarted the "Madchester" scene of the late 80's and early 90's. Released two official albums (excluding compilations) "The Stone Roses" and "Second Coming". While the former is one of the most talked about albums of all time and always appears on many lists, the latter didn't live up to the hype and is seen as a disapointment. At Reading 96 Ian Brown's weakness of being unable to sing without music, created a chaotic set and spelt the end of the band. However despite this, they are seen today as one of the most important bands of all time, and Brown now has a sucsessful solo career which has been going since 1998. His biggest solo album outcharted the Roses one when "Music Of The Spheres" made #3. I'd love to see them reform, it would in my eyes be much bigger than that pathetic Police reunion. Smashing Pumpkins so far is the only one I care about.

Can't imagine Posh Spice would cut it on stage anymore. Then again she hardly did anything previously so she could wing it. Joking aside I can't see her benefiting at all.
Mel C is the only one who has any credible form of solo career. I am sure she is happy as she is and sells enough records worldwide so good on her for holding back.
Also, I read somewhere that Geri was going to release a Greatest Hits. How ridiculous. Does any record label think this will sell enough to make a profit? No one is interested in her records any more.
Geri, Emma and Mel B would benefit from a reunion because their solo profile is purely because of the Spice Girls. Mel C and Posh have diversified much better into other projects.
I would buy their Greatest Hits though.

Mel C was adamant that no amount of money would induce her to be involved in a SG reunion in an interview with Alex Zane on Popworld at the weekend.
