Musically speaking? New albums from music legends - that's what! Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson... and If there is a God, hopefully Michael Jackson! It's great that all my favourite artists are releasing next year. Let's hope they don't go on tour all at once otherwise I'll be financially crippled.

New albums from The Feeling, Dido, Madonna
Leon Jackson to disappear after his #1 single, one hit woinder in his face lol, Kylie to have a #1 single with Wow, but I don't think it will happen. Newcomer of 2008 will have to be Adele, Chasing Pavements is a cracking song, could actually go to #1 if January single sales are low. Can't think of anything else.

I am really looking forward to some innovation from Elvis Presley's record company. I would like more remixes and a 'Duets' album.

mariah carey's album if there's gonna be a new one She says it's going to be released at the top of the year, so any time in the next few months Apparently she's about to film the video for the first single.

the return of coldplay - the second coming of timbaland, michael jackson, will young, dido (looooooooong overdue), lily allen, daniel bedingfield, bloc party (expecially if they go as experimentative as flux), im very hazy about the feeling's new single, larua marling, and i'd be interested to hear what rhydian and same difference do after...it'll be interesting even if it isn't good x

I can't be sure about particular names, although it would be nice to hear more from Herman Dune and Slow Club among others, who had big hits in my chart in 2007 but are currently "one-hit wonders". Hopefully Remi Nicole will release an album and become as big as Kate Nash because I actually think she's better.
Then I'm hoping there will be new bands / artists who make catchy pop-style indie.
It can often be difficult to look forward too much to one particular artist, eg in my all-time favourite year for music which was 1995, and I'm referring to the year when I bought a lot more albums, I was disappointed by both Morrissey and Kingmaker's albums that year and even to some extent with Blur (I didn't like The Great Escape nearly as much as Parklife), and actually Pulp's "Different Class" album took time to get used to (compared to His & Hers which I liked immediately). And I would not have been able to predict in advance that there would be an artist called Alanis Morissette who would have one of my favourite albums of the year.
