Yep season they were promoted, 1st game of the season and we looked ACE! No hang on, it was the last season, first game for both of us in DIV 2!!! Cos it gave us false hope that we would stay up!

didn't you score 9 and concede 9 in the first three games? Probably, we were PROLIFIC and LEAKY at the same time Exciting attacking footy though, made for great viewing when we got it right!

You remember it better than me;) That was against Tranmere and we were 1-0 down at halftime I think? I have a mate who supports Tranmere at work! ;D It was results like that that made you believe we could have stayed up. If the manager had been given the proper financial backing by our thieving chairman, we would have had a good chance I reckon!

The other highlight for you was probably beating Notts. To be honest you played us off the park at Field Mill, it was not a nice experience as I was there!
Did the Stags beat Cheaterfield during last season?

Did the Stags beat Cheaterfield during last season? Lost at home 0-2, but turned em over at their place 2-1, twas when Shayne Bradley (Ex-stags) got sent off for spitting at our defender, he had only been on the pitch 2 minutes, classic, I have it on tape somewhere. We also beat Team bath in the cup, when the whole nation wanted us to lose Didn't we draw with the Pies at your place as well, late offside goal if I remember End of the day, great memories, but I would prefer to still have been in div 2 this season:(

Yeah finished 2-2 at the Lane. We didn't play well though so you deserved the point even though the goal was offside. Funnily enough, after losing at Field Mill, we went on a winning run and didn't lose again for about 10 games. Its not got us anywhere in the long run though.

How can the goal be offside, when it came off a Notts County Players head This one will run and run... You got to stay in that league for another season and who knows, you might pull it off again? Part of me wants you to, cos you'd be happy, but part of me wants you and Cheaterfield down in the 3rd with us, for local derbies next season.

Yeah I know what you mean! I want the Stags to play in whatever division we are in next season coz i'm looking forward to another couple of derby games. It could be a great division. For me there's potentially Mansfield, Chesterfield, Lincoln, Boston, Kidderminster, Macclesfield all within easy commuting distance.

Humph Notts concide 4 goals for the third consecutive away game. With 3 games to go we can only get a maximum of 50 points.
*gets map out to look for Yeovil and Southend*

I can see swindon sneaking in the 2nd div. Good 2-1 away win for the Stags, BOO at Huddersfield getting a late winner though else that might have made it interesting. Still nervous about playing Northampton and Huddersfield though:( Sorry about County mate:( Yeovil might come up yet by the way...

Plymouth lost 4-1 today. The new manager for the Pilgrims, btw, is Bobby Williamson (The old Hibernian manager)
