Could be a good appointment for Southampton, better than Hoddle anyway!

Could be a good appointment for Southampton, better than Hoddle anyway! True, but why must he do it right now? Plymouth are doing very well, so why must he do it now?

True, but why must he do it right now? Plymouth are doing very well, so why must he do it now? Cause they offered him a lot more money than the yokels were paying him? It's called common sense!

Yeah, from Sturrock's point of view, it's a big opportunity and a good challenge.
From Southampton's point of view, Hoddle go bye bye.
From Plymouth's point of view, they've lost a good boss but hopefully the team he's built could still go up.

Yeah, tis sad when nationwide managers are poached, but hopefully they got a good compensation deal as he was on a long contract and hopefully Plymouth can still get up.

Yeah... when was the last time there was a GREEN TEAM in one of the top two divisions? I have no idea. Anyway, isn't it just best for him to stay on for the rest of the season and leave at the end?

But Southampton want him NOW to keep their push going, it is sad, but Plymouth have been compensated well I;m sure. As for green teams, have to think about that one, Green on Norwich's shorts;)

Tjis was when Plymouth were in the 2nd divion, which is now the 1st division.

poor plymouth. wonder what will happen to them now I'm hoping that, they'll go up at the end of this season and stay in the 1st div for a couple or seasons or so. Can't see that happening though.

Can't see that happening though. plymouth are the biggest club in the south-west now ( i think), i still think they can keep their lead but i don't hink they will be able to stay up. depends on the replacement. look what happened to brighton after mickey adams left. hartleppol have proved a team can keep up good form even if there manager leaves.
