After not playing for eight months, Serena is back won her 1st round match 6-1 6-0 in Miami - Venus will start the tournament later.
It's so good to have them back. The two Belgians need new rivals. Henin-Hardenne has over 7600 WTA points!! Isn't that like a record? Serena never had over 7000. It's hard to compare to Steffi and Mary-Joe, because they had a different points system back then. But anyway, we should hope and pray that all four players - the Belgians and the Williams' - will have a few injury-free seasons so we get to see some great battles! I wouldn't mind seeing powertennis players such as Davenport, Capriati, Dokic, Pierce and Martinez sticking their spoons into the soup either!
This certainly will make tennis much more interesting again!

So are they gonna dominate again, or do they have some worthy challengers?

So are they gonna dominate again, or do they have some worthy challengers? I don't really like them, especially Serena . I DEMAND the days when Davenport, Hingis, Capriati, Pierce, Seles were dominating are back NOW

They'll be injured again soon enough, I think they play too hard or something...

I'm afraid the Williams sisters have no worthy challengers when they are fit to play. They are the top two by an absolute mile. Then the two Belgian girls are 3 and 4 by an absolute mile. The rest are just also rans. Bring back the lovely Martina Hingis. I miss her

I miss her Oh, I disagree totally, I don't think the Williams sisters are going to have it easy at all, Clijsters and Henin-Hardenne are more than capable of beating them on a given day... I could be wrong, could be interesting finding out!

Perhaps now Henin has broken through in the Grand Slams might give her more confidence now knowing she has been there and done it. It will be interesting seeing it
