Andy tells me to say, Marseille were just too good, Newcastle lacked a cutting edge upfront, and Viana was pants, mind you, Bowyer was a NUTJOB!

i agree with most of that, though i only saw part of the second half (missed the whole first half)... it was a fair result. injuries be CURSED... we're a different side without the likes of those three...

yeah, twas a shame you weren't full strength, Viana just looked out of his depth, seemed to cause the defence too many probs with his mistakes? Hopefully robbie will be on soonish...

I don't think Bowyer was a nutjob Andy! Are you sure you saw the game??!! He played well about 10 minutes before Marseille scored the second goal & ruined Newcastle hopes. I don't blame him at all, I rather blaim the players who spent 90 minutes on the pitch without creating a single goal opportunity. NUTJOBS of the match: Ameobi - Ambrose - Boby Charlton

He's a bloody psycho, needs locking up, Newcastle were BARMY to buy him in my book! Offload him in the summer I say!

So you missed him getting into a ruck with 10 players after he kicked one of them in the face? He's a bloody psycho, needs locking up, Newcastle were BARMY to buy him in my book! Offload him in the summer I say! He recieved a very bad tackle by a marseille player few minutes before & he didn't complain, he just carried on playing. That tackle cud have cost him another injury. Besides Alan Shearer kicked a defender in his face & nobody said a single word, all the players know the reputation & the troubles of Lee & they want to thrash him & drive him into fights. Plz don't tell me again he's a thug, I heard this argument so many times, I know the Marseille players very well & I can tell you that they're complete tw*ts, arrogant, macho & SO much thugs.

Ut's true what you say about the marseille players, although a bit of a generalisation, but the simple solution is NOT to rise too it. So he had a bad tackle, let the ref deal with it, only a neanderthal thug goes out looking for retribution! If you want to get your own back, do it fair and square.

Not like Shearer to miss a penalty either! Looks like Liverpool will take the 4th place position now. They did play well against Birmingham though, just hit form at the right time I guess.

Think he has done ok, if only Heskey, Owen, Gerrard and the rest had been like that ALL season, then Liverpool could have been SO much better. Couple of signings and they could start to challenge again next season?

Liverpool are frustrating coz when they play well like on Saturday they are so entertaining to watch, but then they can go entire months without being able to show any kind of form!

Morning Andy ;D I think Houllier used to be a bit good then but not anymore. To be honest I never liked him. It's true he achieved few things with the club but he lost even more especially this season. I don't either like his policy of bringing & forming French players at Liverpool's expense, as if Englad lacks talents. L'pool needs a young manager & Houllier shud step down, end of.
