to see Billy Davies getting Preston back up the table to a respectable position where we belong. Under Craig Brown we we so awful, 4 new signings and a shed load of self belief and we are heading back in the right direction! I honestly do fancy us for the play-offs now! 17 points out of the last 21! COME ON YOU WHITES!!! Dan

Preston tanked Mansfield in the cup... :(You gave us a dodgy striker as well, O Neill?

Leeds! ;D Never a dull moment for us... Oh of course! Shania is a BIG fan here as is my son, Ken Bates taking over, oh dear, just when you thought it couldn't get any worse;)

Who'd have thought it - four years ago we reached the Champions League semi-final and were spending millions on players we didn't even need, now we're mid-table in the Championship, we've barely got a squad left, we've lost to Crewe, Brighton, Gillingham and Rotherham, and now we're owned by Ken Bates. You've got to laugh

lol, at least he should bring security now? Time to stabilise and build for next season, start investing in that youth team and bring some more alan smith gems thru the ranks...I wish more teams invested in their youth policies rather than wages for out of contract ex prem or foreign players...

I think our manager's gone about things the right way so far, but how long he'll be in charge for is anyone's guess. The papers yesterday were linking Gianluca Vialli (it's taking Watford years to recover from his spell in charge) and Dennis Wise (I thought this was a wind-up at first!) with the job, so who knows what route we'll go down next.
I never want to see us try to "buy" success again though, even if/when we do have the money...

I think leave him in charge for now, although I did wonder if Bates might want to change the manager, will not be popular with the fans at the moment... It was daft to spend the money they expected to get from the champs league that season, totally bonkers. And not how you run a business, who was to blame I dont know, manager or board? But it was a shocking way to do business, thing is, I can imagine there are a few more doing exactly the same. It's why I like Prem teams that support British players and also invest in youth...

Why do people say 'we' when referring to the football team they support? I mean, it's not like you're playing for them!

Why do people say 'we' when referring to the football team they support? I mean, it's not like you're playing for them! Because we feel part of them, we're their supporters thru thick and thin...

Because we feel part of them, we're their supporters thru thick and thin... Clubs can't exist without supporters to buy tickets and merchandise, and to cheer them on... Norwich City FC even have a squad number for the fans .
