So, good performance by England, beckham should have scored as could Cole, wonder goal for Uruguay against run of play. Then we looked a bit lacking in ideas, substitutions, and up pops Crouchy with his first goal, Uruguians get nasty and nit picky and we get a winner in injury time, nothing more than we deserved. Can I ask what a yellow card means in a friendly though? If you get 3, are you banned from a friendly, or a proper qulaification game, or are they rescinded, only red cards affect other games? Ref was waving the yellow a bit freely, although beckham deserved it. Oh and France lost 1-2 to slovakia, germany lost 1-4 to Italy! Argentina lost 3-2, nice.

Cole and Carrick played absolutely brilliantly! At times, I thought the ref couldn't control the players and it was hilarious to see him push the Uruguay players about I hope the Bridge injury isn't too serious. Also great to see Ireland beat Sweden 3-0

Good game for Crouch, Cole, Carrick and Wright-Phillips. Would like to see all featured in the World Cup squad.
I thought Beckham was rather poor!

Quite often. He was frustrating me during the first half. So many good balls coming through to him from Gerard only for Beckham to waste them!

The Portuguese team is likely to perform well at the world cup too, their game yesterday was easy but still a good game by them. I'm not a fan of C. Ronaldo, but yesterday it was awesome, an unbelievable performances, similar with Figo's performances at Barcelona. About the French team... hum... lol... How I have to explain this ? Pathetic ? lol

I thought it was a poor game throughout. The only player who amazed me was Joe Cole. Good for Crouch to score, i think he could be a golden subsitute for england during the world cup. Anyway England should be worried as uruguay played without most of their top players like Recoba, Chevanton, Zalayeta and others that don't spring to mind

Good result for England and a good preformance in the end, especially Cole. On another note good to see a Reading player (Kevin Doyle) make his full debut for Ireland as I knew he would before too long
