Dundee's Andy McLaren yesterday became one of the few players to receive 3 red cards in one match. During the team's 2-1 defeat at Clyde, McLaren was sent off for aiming a blow at Eddie Malone. As he left the pitch, he struck Michael McGowan in the face, earning himself a second red. Then he kicked a hole in the referee's dressing-room door, earning himself a third red.
And there was me thinking that Josip Simunic's 3-yellow-cards-in-one-game was an achievement...

Then he kicked a hole in the referee's dressing-room door surely that shouldn't count as a red as it was like well off the pitch

Why bother to show the red card 3 times, one surely makes the point!

not really, 3 red cards is trebble the ban, one red card and he wont be punished for punching Michael McGowan in the face

Got to laugh at this, he's an ex Reading player, one of Tommy Burns worst signings. He had a problem in his time at the club and was eventually sacked for taking drugs. He was so bad in one particular game against Peterboro i think in the league cup in 1999, that there was a strong rumour he was actually off his head then!
3 red cards and for the things he did that must be about a 10 match ban at least?

Argentina were sent down to 11 men so theoretically ;D if the ref heard someone cussing him in their dressing room he could burst in and show him the red card

Only if he knew exactly which player cussed him, MConnor The guy's now thinking about quitting football altogether, which would render his ban academic. Remember Zidane's ban for the headbutt?

Remember Zidane's ban for the headbutt? and his peanuts fine well if he did decide to do a U-turn and play in Qatar or somewhere then he wouldn't be able to play to begin with
