The National Football League is planning to hold a regular-season game in England this year. Story here. Yep, it's the game we Americans call football, and the reason we call the football played in England soccer!

It's great news and I hope they can fill the stadium to show the NFL they made the right decision in choosing England over Germany.
I remember when they used to have the American Bowl over here at the start of the season when the NFL was at the height of its popularity in Britain. I went one year and saw the Dolphins play the 49ers, though we had to leave at the start of the 4th quarter to catch our train home.
A regular season game is something else though and a great honour for Wembley and a great show of faith in the British fans from the NFL. I believe the UK's NFL TV contracts are the biggest in financial terms outside North America, so there's definitely a market for the sport over here. It's not as popular as it was in the 80s but the fans now are true fans, whereas back then it was a bit of a novelty and most of the people watching it didn't really understand what was going on.
