Well England did what was needed to beat Canada. Nothing more... Kenya looked shocking against New Zealand yesterday though so that bodes well for Saturday.
Important game in Group B today with Sri Lanka playing Bangladesh. Both teams won their opening games.
Pakistan play what will be an emotional match against Zimbabwe today. Surely they'll want to put on a display for their coach and their fans. In terms of the tournament, Ireland will be through to the Super 8s if Pakistan win today,

Sri Lanka are chugging along at 54-0 off 9 overs.

Current situation:
Group A South Africa P2 W2 Australia P2 W2 Scotland P2 W0 Netherlands P2 W0
South Africa and Australia are both through to the last 8, Scotland and Netherlands are out
Group B Sri Lanka P2 W2 India P2 W1 Bangladesh P2 W1 Bermuda P2 L2
This is the most open group at the moment - if Sri Lanka beat India then they finish top, if Bermuda lose to Bangladesh then they finish bottom. Bermuda could still theoretically go through (if they and Sri Lanka both win), and Sri Lanka could still theoretically go out (if they and Bermuda both lose).
Group C New Zealand P2 W2 England P2 W1 Kenya P2 W1 Canada P2 W0
New Zealand are through, Canada are out. England and Kenya will battle for the other Super 8 place.
Group D West Indies P2 W2 Ireland P2 W1 T1 Pakistan P3 W1 Zimbabwe P3 W0 T1
With only one match to go, West Indies and Ireland are both through.

An embarrassing 8 wicket defeat for Scotland against Holland today...
Scotland were 15-4 at one point before being bowled out for 136. Holland reached their target in only the 24th over.
New Zealand should be on their way to beating Canada after making 363-5 in their innings. Canada are putting up another solid batting performance though and are 90-1 after 13 overs. They seem to have slowed after losing John Davison, who made 53 from just 31 balls.

That is very bad for Scotland really!

India lost to Sri Lanka yesterday, which means they're out unless Bermuda pull of an unlikely victory against Bangladesh tomorrow.
It's raining in St. Lucia this morning, which could delay the start of England v Kenya. If there's no result in the game, England will go through due to superior run rate.

2 changes to the England team from the Canada game:
Flintoff and Mahmood in for Dalrymple and Plunkett.
The game is now due to start at 3:30 and has been reduced to 43 overs per side.

Kenya have won the toss and have surprisingly decided to bat. Big chance for England's bowlers...
Elsewhere, Matthew Hayden has broken John Davison's record for the fastest century in the World Cup.

Comfortable win for England. Into the Super 8s. Good knock from Joyce though Vaughan's form remains a worry.
Australia and South Africa produced a gunfight but Australia saw off the South Africans after they'd threatened to overhaul Australia's 377-6. The Aussies won by 83 runs.
This is the schdule for the Super 8s (this list assumes Bangladesh qualify):

The West Indies seem to go on holiday for a while in the middle... only one match between the 2nd and the 18th...

Bloody hell, thought it was a straight knockout! Do the top 2 go to the final then?

Nah, top 4 play semi finals, 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd.
The finalists will each play 11 matches in total.

Anything other than complete victory would be utter humiliation. There's about 4 teams who have gone out already that are better than Ireland.
