Who has it?
And what is the catch? It looks far too good to be true to me! £10 quid a month and if they do an ITV digital you're not f***ed because of no contract
How much does a freeview box with a card slot cost? *looks*

I've got it free with Virgin as part of the XL package. I suspect they're trying to maximise their number of subscribers so that they can charge the advertisers more. In other words, they're aiming to make money from selling advertising rather than from subscribers.

In the States you have to have a DirecTV dish to pick it up, and then it's another $12 a month to get it!

I got it with the xl package as well, looks great and hopefully will mean Sky lose a few subscribers to PremPlus and other channels Go Setanta! Lower league footy on sunday and tuesday as well, the level I'm used to watching

Does sound good, we're thinking of getting it here but noticed that so far they are only showing one Reading game before Christmas, which would be one of the main reasons for getting it. The 5.15 pm Prem games that they have are missable, hardly watched any on Sky last season, even after they stopped being pay per view. Next season with FA Cup and England internationals is a must though!

The ad with Des Lynam is exceptionally irritating (i.e. it's not Santana, it's not sultana, it's not banana...). It must have been on every ad break during the grand prix at the weekend.
Their coverage is actually quite good. Sometimes they have it freeview as a one-off - they had the GP2 coverage free a few weeks ago, and it was much better than the buffoons on Eurosport

im sure they had setanta when i was on holiday in spain last year. i watched a few games and it was decent. the only catch is you have to cancel it at the end of the season or they keep charging you £10 a month during the close season when there are no games

How is it good that ITV have a whole host of games next season (2008-9)? Their football coverage is appalling. Their commentators are rubbish, their "analysis" is dismal and they spend far too long promoting their coverage of future games.
The BBC's coverage is far superior but, after the end of the coming season, their live football coverage will be restricted to the World Cup and European Championships. Once again, the FA are only interested in revenue rather than taking in to account the quality of coverage. I'm sure ITV will get lower audiences for their FA Cup coverage than the BBC has been getting.

I agree that the ads annoy me on itv, but I just change channels, at the end of the day it's the match that makes the game, and at least with itv we wont have motson commenting!

No but we'll get Peter Drury and Clive Tyldesle who are far worse. Plus whatever idiot they have alongside him who will make even Mark Lawrenson appear good.
