Channel 4's film channel, Film4 will launch as a free service at 9pm on Sunday 23rd July.
The first film to be broadcast free-to-air will be Lost in Translation. The new service will launch by counting down 50 films to see before you die.
Film4 replaces the subscription channel FilmFour, which will end transmission on 19th July, and has the tagline, "great films you know and great films you don't."
The channel will be carried on BSkyB's Freesat and other major digital TV platforms.
About six films a day will be broadcast between 3pm and 3am every day. Classic films will be followed by new hit films and the best of independent cinema.
