LITTLE BRITAIN stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams have signed a multi-million pound exclusive three-year BBC deal, which will keep them at the Corporation until 2009.
The duo will film two Little Britain Christmas specials to be aired in December as well a new series featuring characters from the show to be broadcast in autumn 2007.
Under the deal, they will also work on other shows together and on individual projects for the BBC.
BBC1 controller Peter Fincham said: “We are absolutely delighted about it.
“They are comedy, they are funny, and they play to a younger audience which is what we like.”
Describing the Little Britain spin-off series, He added: “It will be a sketch show involving some of their familiar characters, but it will be a new and different series.”
