The chart is finally compiled, with me having received a bundle of new stuff.
The top of the chart is very static, and 4 Poofs & A Piano return to the top, courteousy of their single having been "flipped". In fact Evanescence is not on any of my playlists at the moment, nor are any of the others released before Christmas with the exception of "My Enormous Penis" which explains a bit why that song has managed to regain the top position (plus the fact it's brilliant). Technically though it becomes the 4th single to regain the #1 position within the same run, but the only one to do so as a result of being flipped. Two of the others got there by the singer dying (John Lennon and Queen). Ocean Colour Scene were the other as "3 Lions" briefly climbed up to #1 (in a yo-yo run itself) in the middle of the run of "The Day We Caught The Train".
Easyworld, Scissors Sister, The Delays and the Zutons all made their UK top 40 debuts but none of them are new on the NM chart. In fact Easyworld have been having hits for nearly 3 years now.
