Akira The Don remain at #1. Although I am crediting the whole EP, it is primarily track 2, Akira The Don's Drinking Song, that is at #1. Track 1, John The Baptist, is also being played on the chart countdown and is quite good. Tracks 3 and 4 are pretty awful, to be honest. Would have been better had they released this as a 2-track EP (double A-side) at 1.99 (or less) and got it into the UK chart.
A bit of a shock entry for the Prodigy - only their 4th ever entry to the NM chart, with a single that was ineligible for the UK chart, and a cover-version (or rework) of "Up Up And Away", a song that reached UK #6 for the Johnny Mann Singers in 1967, though I think the song was much older than that. Their only 3 previous hits were Out Of Space (their biggest, peaked at #8 in 1992), Firestarter and Breathe (both of which scraped into the top 25, as the chart was in 1996).
Prince was last in the chart with the re-issue of 1999, right at the beginning of that year, and peaked at #3 with it. (Can't remember what his last new single was, possibly "Gold" in 1995).
Neville Staple was last in the chart in 1983 as part of the Fun Boy Three and also had hits as part of the Specials.
