Don't know how you manage to have something different to say about each one. The same things just keep springing to mind.
30 I Get A Little Sentimental Over You New Seekers 29 Y Viva Espana Sylvia 28 American Pie Don McLean 27 The Other Man's Grass Petula Clark 26 Secret Love Bee Gees 25 Angel Eyes Abba 24 I Close My Eyes And Count To Ten Dusty Springfield 23 Take Good Care Of My Baby Bobby Vee 22 One For Sorrow Steps 21 Upside Down Diana Ross
Sing-a-longa time with the New Seekers. Lyn Paul had a stupendous voice.
Nothing wrong with a bit of knees-up at times - Sylvia was fun.
Don McLean made a few definitive records and this was the tops. Imagine NOT a #1 yet the awful cover by Madonna was.
Petula, Bobby Vee and Bee Gees. Good fun, melodic, pop records and brilliant harmonies by the Gibbs.
Double-A and everyone plumped for Voulez-Vous but for me Angel Eyes was one of Abba's best. You're moving with it right from the intro.
When La Ross decided to, she could make the definitive record. She plus Chic equals classic disco.
Tingles up your spine time with Dusty's haunting Count To Ten and the one which really elevated Steps to their short period of super-stardom. Classic pure pop.

# 20 The Rose Bette Midler
Great minds and all that. Melancholy, haunting and sensational vocals from Miss M. Can't believe the British public almost totally ignored this.
At last, we agree on something.

19 Search For The Hero M. People
A lot of truth in the lyrics to this. Brilliant mind-grabbing melody plus superb vocals from Heather Small.

Roxy Music had a #4 hit called Angel Eyes only a month or so after Abba had their hit.
